    I guess some people here don’t understand lean muscle, just because he isn’t in body builder shape doesn’t mean he hasn’t put in hard work, as he clearly has. He has to keep in mind his athleticism and speed, packing on heaps of muscle will hinder the ability to perform the way he wants, in the air and ahead of his defender.

      Rugby union players are much bigger than Charlie so are they slower and show less athleticism that AFL players?

    • @but1z
      @but1z 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why bother with majority of hypertrophy training for athletes? Non sensical IMO

      @@jaksosna a big part of AFL is endurance. Trying to build muscle like a bodybuilder when u also have to run so much will hurt endurance heavily. Different types of athleticism is needed for different sports. Rugby players don’t need anywhere near the same level of endurance as AFL

      @@jaksosna yes they don't run as fast or as far during a game, they don't jump as high, but because they're such a high bodweight they're obviously stronger. Two different sports brother

    My family can't wait to see you back out there again Charlie. I remember listening to the 1968 grand final on the radio when I was a boy with my dad, brothers, uncles and cousins and I couldn't stand the nervousness of listening to the intensity of a tight finish so I hid in the wardrobe to muffle out the radio. I reappeared when I heard everyone going crazy. With your help Charlie I would love to hide in the wardrobe again just once more, Go Carlton

    Wouldn't worry about all this crap Charles, you worry about actually playing football and not destroying that knee! Your brother would play football on one leg and wouldn't complain about it, or use it as an excuse. Hope you've got his attitude.

    Does the protein put weight on if you don’t train as hard meaning if I have it and don’t do weight as much as these boys ? Asking for a mate

    • @danrandlehandle
      @danrandlehandle 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It won't really do anything if you're not putting in an effort. If you're having it a lot without working out you'll probably put on weight

    • @lachlanramsay684
      @lachlanramsay684 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Protein synthesis into muscles only occurs in levels significant enough to increase strength after moderate-high level muscle use (working out). While the extra protein can never hurt, if you want to gain strength and/or grow muscle you'll have to workout. There is a point where extra work becomes redundant but generally the more and harder you workout the more gains you will see.
