- Namaste one and all. This is the episode 7 of 'How To Start Playing Flute/Bansuri' series. Today we are discussing How To Practice basic alankars on flute. Watch the video to see basic 10 alankars that you should incorporate in your day to day practice.
For the skip/jump alankar which is 9th alankar in the video, the notations are incorrect as they got overwritten by the 2nd alankar. Below are the correct notes.

You should make a video on all the available options of flute Gurus and academies available in different cities, at least the major cities. If possible the online learning options too. That kind of video is much needed.

Thanks for all these excellent tutorials. I am trying these daily but finding it very hard to play Taar saptak G,M,P on my C natural Sarfuddin flute. Can you pls guide me how I can play these. Also let me know between G# bass and G natural bass which one will be easier to play the taar saptak notes. Thank you.
You can go for G# bass. The tar saptak may take some time to come as the blow is more concentrated for the taar swars

....example ke dar pai ..koi bhi gana ho ya koi dhun bajana ho bansuri par. toh uske liye hum blow mai kiya use kare note jo hota hai use kre ya . tounging jaise TU.RU Ku Ye sab use kare...? Aur agar bina notation ke bhi bansuri baaj sakte hai to koi bhi dhun ho ya koi bhi gana ho use sur mai kaise convert kare .aur blow mai kiya bol hona chahiye sahi tarika kiya hai?

In hindustani classical flute, we stress and practice from Mandra Pa to Taar Pa
@@sathwik.sharma , bro, forget about hindustani or carnatic here. Just see these as exercises that will help in speed building and finger flexibility. And like he said if you start from sa, your practice will be limited but pa to pa covers the entire flute.

Hi Ajoy ji, make sure the way you are holding the flute is correct. That can be one reason for pain. Also, if you have recently started, have a correct posture and maintain proper breaks in between playing.

Sir , is it possible to play every note of a C natural flute in all the three octaves?? Bcoz I am not able to play sa re ga and ma in the lower octave.
Yes it is possible to play all octaves in all flutes. The flute should be of good quality and you should have proper command on the notes

Depends ki aap konsa gana try kar rahe ho. Gana bajane me techniques use karni hoti hai uska riyaz alag se karna hota hai
Thank you so much for your valuable guidance. I have one Q..as we have to say surs in mind while playing alankar. But as I increse3the speed like 260-300 bpm it becomes difficult to say the surs in mind. Request your guidance. Thank you ao much again for your support
It actually takes time and will need lots of practice. But after certain speed like 600 it's difficult to sing

It wont affect, there are many people who sing and play flute eg rasika shekhar, ashwin srinivasan, ronu majumdar ji etc

Heyy , the skip alankar is slightly confusing, the notes show pd,dn,ns..... but aren't you skipping a note so wouldn't that mean pn.ds.nr....just checking could be logistical error or my understanding is wrong.

Har phrase ke bad. Jaise SRGM ke bad le sakte ho . Slow bjaoge to jyada frequent saans lena padega, fast bajate ho to ek breath me 2-3 phrase cover ho jate hai. To depend karta hai.
