Agree. Many of these speak the Welsh language which has very clear consonants. + many were classically trained for the national eisteddfod of Wales - which demands very high standards.
@@itztimg Karl Loxley, and Samuel Wyn-Morris did amazingly singing that song, same with Aaron Pryce-Lewis with “This is the Moment” from Jekyll and Hyde. Karl Loxley’s Never Enough and I Dream a Dream also top notch! Go search them in youtube, and subscribe 😊
It's as if collectively you said, "How can we make the world better today?" For me, this is it. Thank you yet again for sharing your beautiful talents. Never. Stop. Singing.
How on EARTH did they time it so perfectly? This is a difficult song for a huge cast to sing in unison at the best of times and/or during a live performance, and the fact that they did this while social distancing is incredible.
Is it though? I loved it except the last few moments but this song is always sung exactly, exactly the same. They didn’t have to keep in unison with a random timing. They just had to sing it correctly. Again, I think it’s a very nice performance but I don’t think the timing is the main achievement.
I grew up with this musical. I am so impressed with these voices. I love being able to know exactly who these singers are portraying. Your voices are magical. Well done. BRAVO!!!
That moment, when you’re sat, alone in your lounge crying, cheering and punching the air because of this excellent rendition of “One Day More”. Now I’m off to watch it again...... and again...... and again .......
OMG On Friday I went to see Les Miserables and my surprise was to see Like McCal as Jean Valjean and Mared Williams as Eponine. I don`t have words to describe how good they were and of course all the cast coz they were incredible, however for me was special due to I've started to follow them since the Pandemic started to became a great fan, so when I saw them live performing divine without any false note at all it was like a dream came true. If only I had had a meet and greet with them it woud have been the perfect night. Thanks a lot for keeping the show going on, for such a treats as your talented voices, I will definitly come back to London before 2023 and I hope this time be able to meet and greet them if possible. PS: English is not my mother tongue so I apologize if I`ve made any mistake
This is the best version of this song I have ever seen. What an astonishing achievement Stefan and ensemble. It is like I know you all after all this time. A triumph of will over adversity: and. very important moment not only in Welsh musical history, but in world class musical history. Absolutely astonishing. OMG.
After almost one year of being in the COVID lockdown, I have found your video to bring hope and respite to my soul. I regret that I can't meet you all in person to express my gratitude for bringing joy and peace to people who have often felt frustrations and inconveniences. I would love to have your autographs as a reminder of the wonderful music you have brought to me and to many others throughout the world. I know that autographs would be a tangible item that would never happen. However, the uplift and hope you have brought to countless lives is more important that the tangible....it's the INTANGIBLE. Thank you. May the music live on........
Samuel joins Ramin Karimloo and Bradley Jaden as my favourite singers to perform Enjolras' part in this song. Thank you - all of you - so much for helping us all to get through shielding/lockdowns 🙏🙌
I have always loved the character of Enjolras. The second time I watched Les Mis in the West End, Samuel Wyn-Morris was covering Enjolras and he blew me away. Such a powerful voice and amazing performance! Looking forward to seeing other Welsh performers soon. This is so awesome! Bravooooo
This is absolutely magnificent. Welsh National Opera should hire you all to produce Les Miserables. And thank you for keeping our spirits up at a very difficult time.
@@Steffan_Hughes I have just sent an email to Welsh National Opera suggesting this as a Christmas production to generate much-needed revenue after the terrible time everyone in the performing arts has had for the last year. The team you have assembled is nothing short of amazing. Keep it up!
@@Steffan_Hughes PS Have you thought about Ivor Novello who was born in Cardiff? His songs are absolutely gorgeous, e.g. 'I can give you the starlight' and 'My dearest dear' from 'The Dancing Years'.
Oh. My. God! I was crying, waving my arms around, laughing, swooning...every emotion imaginable. When I saw this pop up on my phone, I couldn't be happier. I raced home from work and here you all were amazing me yet again. Please tour the USA when this world is a safer place to travel. I will be front and center. I'll be the crazy woman crying, waving my arms around, laughing and swooning! 🤣🎶❤
A month later and I am back again. I can't even put into words how I react listening to each of you doing your solos and then the entire group all at once. I have been singing since I was a toddler and was always in a choir at school and even in a military choir group, and then on to community theater for decades. This performance proves to me I knew what I was doing all those years and how my love for singing and acting and theater was the direction to go growing up. THANK YOU TO EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!!!!
So looking forward to having these folks join us on May 18th 2024 at our Annual Concert - Morriston RFC Male Choir - at the cathedral to non-conformism, Tabernacle Chapel, Morriston, Swansea. Excited doesn't describe it. Bring it on.
Gobsmacked. And I am not one easily lost for words. When the young man in the blur button down opened that golden throat and sang Enjolras' part, I died. Sheer perfection.
I year later, and you still bring a massive lump to my throat. I treated my girls to Les Mis in the Dummer for my eldest's 21st, and I cried then too. "Tomorrow we'll discover what our God in Heaven has in store." It gets me every time.
I agree with everyone who has commented on how fabulous this performance was, and with the excellent diction on every word. I also think this is one of the best syncing of vibratos for an entire group.
Look, obviously you all did an incredible job. You always do. Characters well chosen. Everyone kills it. But can we PLEASE stop for a minute and all agree that we must demand to hear Mared sing A Little Fall of Rain?!?! As soon as the intro started I immediately told my wife “OMG Mared is going sing Éponine!” Picture perfect timbre. Effortless brightness, yet with depth of tone. Just awesome. Bravo all! Love hearing all you do together. What a fun supportive music community.
The singing was even more exquisite than I imagined that it would be coming form true talents like yourselves, but I was even more pleasantly surprised by the acting. I can almost swear that I could see the costumes and the set! A true marvel and masterpiece.
How beautiful! It sounds like as if this song were originally made for the Welsh of the West End! I have seen Les Misérables in the West End, London so many times but I would love to see this version of Les Mis so much!
I have watched this video so many times that I have lost count. It is absolutely thrilling to listen to the amazing voices that make up this version of this song and have those voices blend together to create this unified voice
Don't think I've ever been able to discern the lyrics before without reading them at the same time. Certainly not when more than person was singing. Amazing.
I don't think it would be possible for Steffan Hughes to have a brighter, happier face. He radiates love of the music as he sings. And no I'm not making a gay crack. All the singers & score are excellent. Bravo!
God that Enjolras is a force of nature
Would you cast any other voice type?
Holy Fuck that was good! I was goosebumpin the entire ride!
he was so feeling it too lol precious
True!!!!
Sorry, can you point him out?
Sophie Evans just RINGS that note on “but he never saw me theeeeeeeeere”
This was a great video west more songs for them how many songs they did
Best zoom meeting ever
Diction is as clear as a bell. Finally heard the lyrics of this most difficult song from Les Miz.

Welsh singers!
Absolutely amazing from the whole cast! Samuel Wyn-Morris’ Enjolras gives me goosebumps though, what a voice
You said exactly what I was thinking. This whole video was perfection.
My heart skips a beat every time I hear you sing

I believe he understudies him on the west end
Right?? Dude is DREAMY.

No costumes yet you can see them all in their characters, AMAZING

This is 💯 an amazing achievement, but I would expect they all recorded their lines separately with accompaniment and then splices together
A click track

Fabulous voices - also, isn’t this just about the best-looking group of young men and women you’ve ever seen in your life?!
Absolutely! The testosterone was radiating from my phone. Wow!

I used to think the 10 year anniversary performance was the best one ever... this goes beyond that. This is truly a performance par excellence.
Such music is the wonder of our species. It leaves tingling all over. It makes you feel good all over.
I pressed "Play" and "Like" almost simultaneously. Three-and-a-half minutes later, I have no regrets. (I'm also sobbing, FWIW. This was stunning.)
