I started soldering about 4yrs ago and enrolled in the University of TH-cam and took all their soldering classes. This was the best class I’ve attended! Very well done explaining sure-fire techniques! Thank you Professor!
Thank you very much! I appreciate your feedback and kind encouragement. Best in 4 years milling about in TH-cam land is saying a lot. You have made my day..👍🏻🍻👊🏻
The kink method is from old Rockwell printing presses I worked on. If your wire touched the PDB anywhere it would short out, LOL... Enjoy the Breeze...👍🏻👊🏻🍻
Good information. I struggled with the soldering at first. Looking at the tiny pads for the motor wires on a Tinyhawk or the pads of a 16x16 flight controller stack. It's pretty easy now and flux really does make all the difference.
Thank you for checking out my channel and subscribing! I appreciate it.. Here we solder a wire and how to do it from start to finish.. Quick Tips are coming. I'm trying my best to get some meaningful content out and answer a few of your questions... I hope this helps someone!
I do appreciate the enthusiasm and your encouragement! I learn something new everyday and if I can pass that info on in a more simple way, I'm in.. Enjoy the Breeze...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
@@sully4875 I only use it to tin wires and my soldering iron tip (tip dip). I dont use it on the pads of the PDB. I use the Rosin Paste Flux for that. I personally have never had an issue using it anywhere, you have to keep in mind it has a conductive agent in it; therefore, you can not be sloppy with it.. Excellent question...🍻

I'm getting ready to solder the motor wires to the flight controller. There are 12 of them. The kit came with a toolbox. The connector for the iron was not compatible with anything I had. I had to go to a electronics store to get an adapter. It came with a battery charger but the connectors are proprietary I guess. It's a Bardwell kit. Thanks for the video. I might need to get a different tip. Mine is the cutter kind.
Wow, that's unfortunate. Something called a "Kit" should be ready to go, you'd think... Newbe question: What causes the ground to blur out in both videos? Is that due to frame rate? Or resolution? Or something else? I noticed when Walksnail (and others) fly near trees, etc. they also blur. Thanks for the video.
Copied from Google... Your camera should be set to shutter priority or manual mode with a shutter speed between 1/15 and 1/60 sec, depending upon the speed of your subject. You may need to shoot a few test shots to determine your shutter speed. Using a slower shutter speed will increase blur; while a faster shutter speed will reduce blur.
I appreciate your feedback and support. I actually made a newer soldering video. You may like it...🍻 th-cam.com/video/WHOcdEPDXpc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=iSfsxKX7ylAYWyT_
When I try to solder the power cable to the flight controller I can’t get enough soldering on the pad, as I’m feeding it on the bit I’ve already put on sets and turns to like paste 😢
Hey PO... A link to your favourite Soldering Iron, Solder, Solder Paste would be helpful for the New Players... FYI... I use Weller Solder Stations exclusively... Same Solder (Kester 0.031") with multicore flux for all my electronic work. Very rarely do I need extra flux.
Appreciate your feedback.. I dont have a favorite.. Maybe I could put a link in there of the cheapest and the most expensive I've used.. I like the one I'm using in these TH-cam videos, super affordable, easy to get replacement tips, and found all over the internet for sale.. I will look at putting a link up.. I like me some flux, cant deny it...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
