The Honda guys brought me back to the 2 stroke days. I always had to spend the bucks for the Hinson clutch packs a few times but they were a must have even for XC,
Stiffer springs, steel clutch drive plates. Worked for decades. I am sure Hinson makes good stuff though.
@@EarthSurferUSA I did alot of hill climbing and I found that the stock basket fingers would get grooved out and cause bad feel. The after market baskets let the clutch plates slide easier because they're hardened. I did run steel plates. 64H A SSR D-36. '02 spring champ vet B. Carnegie...

Lars talking about clutches @19:00-19:20ish, RC4 vs: KW14 clutches, Windham was riding on Factory Connection team which was Sponsored & using Amsoil Lubricants (Requirement of Sponsorship Contract). Amsoil oils were also developed for abusive clutch system use, as in wet plate clutch systems of KW14/RC4 had. Maybe RC4 team HRC should have been using it also......
