Dead by Daylight is an asymmetric multiplayer survival horror online game developed by Canadian studio Behaviour Interactive. It is a one-versus-four game in which one player takes on the role of a savage Killer and the other four play as Survivors, the Killer must catch each Survivor and sacrifice them to a malevolent force known as the Entity by impaling them on hooks, while the Survivors must avoid being caught and fix five generators to power up the exit gates

To minimize you have to keep as much distance as possible cause he stalks slower the more he's away from you, regarding knowing if he stalks you really can't but usually when he reaches evil within 2 people check around to see if they're being stalked
