I started playing MtG around Revised and my favorite card was Vesuvan Doppelganger. I was thrilled to see the Helm of the Host not only reference that part of Dominarian history but also hint of a Vesuvan queen. Digging into official MtG podcasts, we also learned the location of Vesuva on the map and that its main export is wine. Can you imagine what kind of wine you can grow in an island full of illusions and shapeshifters?

I loved the restoration of Teferi, when we last saw him in Time Spiral Block he was a broken, defeated man. Hunted for his failures and refusing to take responsibility for them. In the Dominara set, we see him 50+ years later, an older, wiser and far more humble man. Who acknowledged his failings and is working to redeeming himself, ever so far as join the Gatewatch and face Bolas (who trashed him in there last encounter). The idea of a classic character returning but with significant growth is always exciting for me.
I honestly hope the upcoming Dominaria United will be about Teferi FINALLY phasing Zhalfir back to existence. We've been left hanging on that plot thread since 2006!
My all time favorite Magic Arcanum and Story time but, this was amazing this was the 1st set I have ever played and the 1st Karn I could afford!!! I miss cracking these packs in huge sums! Thank you for this video this was so fun to look back on the old days of this set!!!

When I got back into MTG this year my first project was a Jhoira Weatherlight Captain commander deck. Just last night posted a gameplay video with a Historic Brawl version.
Was expecting you to talk about my favourite saga - The Mirari Conjecture, and the Mirari in general. Like i know that there was an old card called "mirari's wake", and that Memnarch from Mirrodin is a corrupted version of it, but i always wanted to hear the full story.
In my Slivers video for TCGplayer I did mention the Mirari and pledged to give it a whole video some day since it has such a fascinating history of its own.
Yes! I absolutely did kill someone with a kicked Fight with Fire. It was my main tech in Gruul Elfball for battling cards like Lyra, at least until M19 came about and kicked the kicker package out of that deck in favor of the elf stuff from that set and Banefire.

I’m super late to this video but just thought I’d throw in that The Eldest Reborn doesn’t depict Bolas “time traveling to find a younger version of himself” or whatever, it shows his rebirth at the Talon Gates during the events of the Time Spiral novel. Highly recommended, if not just for that time he melted a Ghitu fire mage down to a puddle.
I started playing magic in dominaria and my favorite legendary (and my first) is Adeliz, the Cinder Wind wich now is my commander. Also love history of Benalia because mono white was my thing in arena.
My favorite was Slimefoot, the Stowaway. It was one of the first legendaries I encountered when I started playing magic in earnest, and allowed me to build a Fungus Among Us deck on Arena.

I loved the relationship developed between Arvad and Tiana. Their cards are in colors that care about what they both do and their relationship in the story was fun and I wish it had been built on more.
8:15 Karm is older than Tefari. Yes Tefari was born earlier than Karn but Karn timetravelled back to the very beginning and then lived his way back to the present.
I really wish they had been given the opportunity to make two sets for Dominaria. Did you know a Garruk/Liliana scene was supposed to be in the second set where he becomes de-cursed? And a bunch of Knight tribal too 😭
