Let's face it. The world is a darker place without these two extraordinary people! Carl Sagans' visionary communication of science and Vangelis' unworldly music. I'm so glad I was able to watch Cosmos when these two made a perfect fusion.
@@jorgeindy Nadie intenta copiar a nadie.
A very curious moment from Vangelis, when he was still using his beast (Yamaha CS80), mixed with hybrid technology (Roland JX-8P), and a lot of new FM synthesizers (Yamaha GS-1, DX-7). That was two years before he started working with his Zyklus system, designed by Bill Marshall and Pete Kellock, and ditched most of his analog set. btw, inside Movement 3, approx. between 8:15 (crossfaded with the previous music) and 9:28, the theme heard is not from Vangelis. It is the final part of a "Larry (Synergy) Fast" theme called "Delta Four" from his 1979 album "Games". Indeed, it was a theme included in Cosmos, even in the music of the original 1980 series, but definitely not a Vangelis theme. Curious for being included in this suite (Curious Electric :) You can hear it here: th-cam.com/video/WmK2hspIk9Y/w-d-xo.html The excerpt included in the Movement 3 of this suite starts approx at 4.36 on the original "Delta Four" theme.
There will be no other one like Vangelis in many thousands of years to come. Thank you maestro for your music. R.I.P.
@@SuperKaloyantry not to make things up, Christian. Thanks!

No siquiera copiarlo.
es inimitable.tiene un estilo muy propio....

RIP Vangelis.

I wondered what that song was when Carl Sagan was talking about how dinosaurs "crashed and thundered through the steamy jungle."
CARL SAGAN , A GREAT MAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WONDERFUL - ONE OF MY FAVOURITES!
Many thanks for uploading this gem!!
otra maravilla oculta del griego de oro....
this is pure music... thank you, Tomas

The one starting at 5:17 is so reminiscent of Blade Runner, I love it.
Did music for BLADE RUNNER 1982 😊😊😊
the first song is amazing!!!!which is it name???
It's called just "Movement 1". All of these are untitled, though Movement 6 was released commercially as "Comet 16".
@@Tsskyx thank you!! I cannot find this song alone....
@@carolina-qp3cu This suite is the only place where you can find it, afaik.
