      Kenny, Good luck. If you would like I have now included a PDF of the melodies that I go over in the video. You can print out and distribute to your choir members.

    Roger every pentagram is with the notes changed

  • @ducruix6685
    @ducruix6685 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am confused, I have always learned( in France) that what we call Do is the C note. So what you call Do is actually Sol!

    • @phamnguyenductin
      @phamnguyenductin 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This one is a "movable Do", which means the G major scale is "transposed" to a C major.

    • @RogerHale
      @RogerHale  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Bambi. There are two different types of Solfege "Moveable Do" changes to the home key of whatever key you are singing in. "Fixed Do" is always C. Both can be useful. I use "Fixed Do" when singing difficult non-tonal chromatic music. I use "Moveable Do" for every thing else. I hope this helps. ~Roger

      Isa, Pone subtitularios en Ingles. Usted puede escoger "auto translate" en la menú de configuración. Escoge Espanol

  • @erggish
    @erggish 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Are you showing different notes to what you are singing? That was confusing...You know that that curvy thing you have at the top pentagram is the key of sol, and it tells you that the 2nd line of the pentagram is the "sol" (and not do)

    • @RogerHale
      @RogerHale  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi @Chris X. The system that I am using is movable DO. You are speaking of Fixed DO where G is always "SOL". When using moveable DO the new key center becomes the new "DO." I hope this makes sense. ~Roger

    • @teresaestevezalvarez664
      @teresaestevezalvarez664 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That was confusing to me too. I sing in a choir and sing complicated pieces which I follow on the score.
      I want to learn solfage to get the rithm, timing and correct note from the outset. We are preparing for May amongts other pieces Mozart Requiem.
      Thank you for imparting your knowledge
