Antitrust is such a massive issue, especially in tech. I actually did a whole video a few months back all about it. 😂 Did you ever check out Amy Klobuchar's book on the topic? Absolutely mind boggling how many monopolies are able to thrive. Really hope this bill passes AND that this current entrepreneurial explosion we're seeing nationwide continues to grow!
Great message and consistent with a lot of the brain drain that we are seeing at these same corps. The most talented people there are not going to want to keep working at these massive organizations more focused on protecting their market power and dominance, instead of just focusing on the innovation.
This is such an underestimated issue. My wife is the only one with an Android and it’s virtually impossible for her to send messages to the kids iPads. There aren’t a lot of good options.

I'm not sure this channel is the best place for it, but I cannot find non-partisan information about it anywhere. Everything is either right or left wing propoganda.
Hi Garry! It's an important topic nowadays. Freedom ain't free - you are right. And the price - go out of Apple ecosystem. Android phones are great, apps are fast and beautiful. And you can do whatever you want - even install another OS.
This is the exact reason why lots of people are leaving Big Tech companies and going to web3. Whether someone may or may not like web3, the crypto craze is the reason why the Big Tech companies only recently started to get competitive with their hiring. Regardless, if web2 isn't the place to innovate then the talent will move to web3.

What determines what should be interoperable (email) vs not (messaging)? I think there are benefits to more things being interoperable, but should that be a requirement from legislation? Who determines the protocol at that point?

On the other hand the lack of copyright laws in Shenzhen has led to an innovation boom due to unadulterated creative destruction, although a very different innovation to the American one. No MAMAA companies.
