24:54 I actually wouldn’t stress too hard about that detail specifically. Winds probably used the Kristal engine in creation of this video, as that doll is replaced with that version of it in the Kristal build of Seam’s shop. Winds likely just didn’t realize that in terms of things behind the scenes.
I actually had an experience with this series really early, in such a weird way that I fully thought I'd been put into a creepypasta. So, I was opening YT and my PC was moving slow, so I started clicking wildly trying to make it load faster (yes I know that doesn't do anything.) Then I ended up clicking, without even seeing it, a video with no title, of Kris walking into a room, empty except for Susie, and all the shit that entailed I was pretty spooked. (I suppose this is fitting since this series is giving major BEN Drowned vibes lol)
Just for future reference, if your PC is running slow, wildly clicking on things does actually do something: it queues up commands, potentially making things take even longer to respond.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Goner kid's dialogue considering how much relevance it has to Kris' situation--being transported to a world where they never existed yet everything functioning perfectly without them! I have a feeling it's important to the plot--maybe explaining the confusion between which Winds is recording? Him getting replaced with somebody else who eventually forgets they had a brother? Then again, I just think that's a cool and possible parallel between Kris and Asriel rather than a plausible story direction as opposed to my other theories. 1. The titles show the poster's emotional state The first 4 videos are in lowercase because OW (Original Winds) was making casual documentations, while SW (Sibling Winds) knew since they were uploading an unseen Deltarune demo it'd be important to the community. Their findings in the blank video were so surprising/upsetting they couldn't manage anything but a brief, lowercase description, the feelings are waring off but continuing at "shopkeeper visit," then they're used to it and regular titles and descriptions resume. They have capitalized, complete sentences in the description of the currently most recent video until the edit, where they switch to one sentence in lowercase without punctuation, meaning we have proof of whoever is in charge of at least this video changing their typing style based on their emotions. 2. There is interference It's been confirmed also in the most recent video that the Goners are aware they're being recorded. OW _did_ type in lowercase and fragmented sentences while SW typed with proper capitalization and had complete sentences, but there used to be a title for the untitled video that was [REDACTED]. Whether "shopkeeper visit" is an unreleased OW video, recent SW recording, or another entity is unknown. This also relies on the evidence of the uploader adding to the otherwise regular description "edit: what does it all mean," implying they didn't know it wasn't a regular Undertale playthrough until they watched it again. We don't know Gaster's/the Goners power level in the series, but I don't think it'd be unreasonable to assume he/they can glitch videos, although I won't embrace these theories until more information is revealed. It's important to note Kris may not have been apprehensive because there's another human in the Undertale playthrough, but because they sense the player's SOUL inside them. Looking at the dialogue, Susie doesn't ask Kris in any way "Hey, are you werided out by another human?" She assumes they are, which is understandable given that while she's becoming more cognizant of everything that's happening, she should have NO idea that the player was controlling Kris and I don't see why Kris would say it off screen considering how hard it'd be to prove that happened. I believe they'd know they were possessed, even in another timeline, because when Susie asks them if it feels like these events happened before in the Alternate Cliff Route and the player answers yes, she doesn't point out them sounding confused, meaning they'd remember when they weren't in control even if they always were in one timeline. After the Spamton NEO fight, if you make Kris lie about being okay, Susie notes it's strained, and if you allow them to honestly answer no, they scream. With how authentic the writing style is to Deltarune, I doubt if they didn't remember anything their tone wouldn't be commented on. Deltarune resets may be different from Undertale's because of them being different universes and the game going to great lengths to seperate itself from its predecessor (namely, power vs. determination), and we don't know how Susie's (aka probably basically everybody else's) deja vu works in full as she remembers prevous events and how way the world is meant to be constructed, but not that her and Lancer were friends (or she was surprised he knew her name already and Lancer was misinterpreting, but that sounds like a contrived red herring) Please let me know if there's inconsistencies in my logic or details I missed! Thanks for helping this series get its due attention Molly
this reminds me *heavily* of an old Undertale fan-work where every Undertale character had the souls of all the reset's versions fuse into one body, and Frisk needed to use a special soul locket to free said souls from each monster
Yeah, that's help_tale. Its a pretty awesome concept despite never being finished. I believe the concept is: "What would happen if all the aus got fused together?"
i think thats the au that they said in the video that they might make a video on (they said it in some part near the beginning but i'm not gonna look for it now)
I legit thought this was some kind of 4D chess hidden teaser that Toby Fox was doing. I feel like that speaks to the quality of Winds’s videos! That or my gullibility
would not be shocked by the siiva gunner thing fun fact: siivaGunner had a video that started with an incredibly good version of a song from petscop. this confused the petscop community, as at the time there was no petscop ost uploads. eveyone assumes its just a good recreation cut to years later, after petscops creator is revealed- turns out they were friends with the siiva gunner creators and gave them a copy of some of the games songs
Not only do i love delta rune, not only do i love arg's, but i also love mollystarts videos. this is 3 of some of my favorite things put into 1 and words cannot describe how exited i am.
idk how I keep missing stuff like this that perfectly aligns with my niche interests lol, thanks for bringing this series to mine and other people's attention! oh and you absolutely deserve the support, can't wait* to see tdt part 3 and whatever else you end up doing 💜 *can, take your time :)
This shit is wild , very well made , pretty believable, some things are weird, but I'm excited were this will go , thanks for spreading the word molley
Hey Molly, new Winds video if you didn’t see it. Over two hours long too. No gameplay though, just 5 codes and a lot of static. I have the codes saved if you want them, or you can watch it for yourself. Don’t recommend it however, I’d say just skip it. I wasted my time, you don’t need to. Codes are below: 1. DON’T TRUST THE PRINCE 2. DARKER YET DARKER 3. LOOK BEYOND THE CONFINES 4. SHE VANISHED IN A PLACE FROZEN IN TIME 5. TWO ENTITIES TWO WORLDS ONE ESSENCE Only other things that happened were at the start, the end, and one point near the middle where the code jingle played without a code attached to it
Wait hold on I just found out Seam knowing of the GonerPiece is extra concerning because if you talk to them on a save file starting in Chapter 2 after having grabbed one of the Jevil items from the cliffside, they’ll say “You three defeated that clown last time, didn't you?” meaning they know that you beat Jevil but also know that they still have their part of Jevil’s key so -he- you couldn’t’ve gotten out. So they know about save files, they know things can transfer over between them, and they know things can be carried over that are otherwise impossible to obtain. That -Seams- seems very, very… Concerning.
kinda random correlation speculation but; if the game is actually a portal interface what allows you to control a Kris, then wouldnt the beta have taken place in the past, not in a different timeline? That would line up with kris's stuff is still boxed up, they were just adopted, and the offhand mention of winds's brother 'stepping out' in the exact same way that Kris's brother stepped out, which would make kris, or a kris, the uploader?
Before I begin, just wanna say I got the best ad timing. "And it's pretty fucking bizarre AT DOMINOS OUR PIZZA-" That said, I'm not personally sure what to think about Scattering Winds yet, at least as a series, but the way the goner piece warps the game and how Gaster is trying to collect them reminds me a lot of the OLD_DATA in Inscryption. This strange thing hidden inside the game that completely alters anything it comes into contact with and grants some kind of pseudo sentience to the game's cast. I wouldn't be shocked if that was the inspiration, even. Though I do notice the major difference is that gonerpieces are freely given to and collected by Winds, compared to the OLD_DATA which is kept out of our hands unless we perform a long series of esoteric command line shenanigans. Though thats probably just due to the shift in medium the ARG is delivered in. Though as an ARG, its clearly in the very early stages. Unless there's something we've missed, its not like the watcher has been prompted for anything yet. Just that we've been acknowledged. Though it could very well be that we're being given a cipher first, and the riddle comes later. Though I do wonder where the fuck Kris went in that UT video. Or what the wider implication that there are three Krises -- "player" Kris, "UT" Kris, and "Enemy" Kris -- actually is. There's also the name of the channel and in game item itself: Staggering Winds. "Winds" is for sure the player name, regardless of why, and to "stagger" something is to force it off balance. Perhaps a double entendre about how at least one of the two Winds is "staggered" in some way, as well as using the item Staggering Winds offset the game(s) into its current state?
Love watching your vids! You can see so much work was put into them. Also they are very good break from reality and this road into such complex yet fun and engaging to uncover topics.
I scrolled through the bottom of the comment section (200 comments is weirdly not that long?) and you hearted nearly all of the comments 😭😭 Anyways i also wanted to say your videos are so great 😭 i love deltarune and i love watching the theories, obscure stuff, and lore about this game and paired with your voice and editing style its just so 😭😭 Thank you
if i had to make a guess, i'd think that the original winds progressed quite far along in the story and realized that whatever gaster was up to wasn't desirable, and thus abandoned the efforts- and the current winds is now unknowingly restarting that path
You should ABSOLUTELY do a video on the SiivaGunner ARGs. The Siiva lore really deserves to be analyzed by more people in general (hell, I started a script of my own but it's only a couple paragraphs, barely scratching the surface...)
I just realized the SiIvaGunner rip might’ve been an out of universe way to build up validity, since SiIva already uploads obscure and unused songs, as well as entirely fake songs, and even entirely fake games. (Just kidding, it’s all real because obviously SiIva would never lie to us like that. You just forgot that Undyne’s theme was actually composed entirely of Mr. Krabs voice samples) So uploading a fake version of a fake song shirtly before the “real” version would add credibility to it. I mean, there’s a SiIvaGunner rip of the song, and that rip predates the video, so obviously the song is real. And if the song that only plays when you use a GonerPiece is real, the GonerPiece must also be real as well.
This is so interesting. Have you seen the one by Ash Veil lane? And staggering winds did more since this. I hope you check both of these things. Once your part 3 of your big videos is done.
Im glad that there is an actual Undertale/Deltarune ARG Toby's games really fit within ARGs, and after months ago finding the joke ARG "Undertale Lost Content Archive" and enjoying it, I have been craving for an actual one For the blank video, the 6 blank spaces is most likely a reference to Gaster Gaster is 6 letters long, and all his stats in the code of UNDERTALE are composed of the number 6
MOLLYSTAR !!!!! now in all seriousness, I wanna take this opportunity to once again remind you how much you inspire me to make wonderful things every day. I know I've told you this like a million times by now, but you know. Thanks for that : > gayster 2.5
thank you so much roserade waaa !!!! it really means a lot that people have enjoyed my vids so much, the least i can do is having my stuff inspire others and invoke that wanting to make things of their own. your vids are really dope and im wishing u only the best in whatever you end up workin on ^^
Thank you for introducing me to this fascinating channel. You've gained them a new subscriber. :) Speaking of subs, congrats on 10K+! You deserve it. Love your vids. Also your dog is very cute.
Honestly, let me say that your videos have a unique style, with the warmer palette of your sprites and the darker and deeper topics you cover (backrooms, the device theory instead of looking at the bright side of Deltarune, staggering winds being a very slightly spooky arg) that makes your channel unique and enjoyable, to the point where i could easily argue you deserve much more than 10k, probably around 180-300k the more you build up your videos. Although, frankly, you could reduce the glitchy transitions to once or twice per video, as, as a viewer (that was surprisingly grammatically correct. thanks english (i will not be fixing the capitalization. what do i look like to you, an english nerd?)), i found them to be repetitive and upsetting to the flow of the content to a point. Also, while the videos are structured very well, and cover abundant information, i would sometimes find myself lost in a lesser point of visual organization (something that was briefly remedied during the point where you talked about spamton's sweepstakes, to give you a point of analysis). Still, you're holding onto something unique. If you push forward with this, you have the ability to really go places (idk where those places would be, though, one could say the future is in your hands) This took 15 minutes. I have nothing better to do with my life.
edit: did you pin every single comment the video got..? i can't imagine having the patience to sort through, or even scroll through the amount of comments you pinned. That's some serious dedication.
thank you so much!! i am really glad to hear the sorta contrast between my art w/ the topics i cover tends to go over well and make some of the darker topics even feel kind of welcoming to talk about in tone, it's not something i had intentionally been going for but i think i just happened to lean into that through my original intent with my style of video ever since making videos under this alias. it rlly is flattering though to hear people hoping for my channel to grow even more though, we'll have to see how things go in the near future but, hopefully i can keep a consistent enough pace for that to be the case JKLKLJDHDH for the glitchy transitions, i will likely do less of them in future videos for sure, although it's kind of hard to say because i know stuff like that plays into the tightrope i'm trying to walk of having my videos be easy to watch but also still having moments of leaving people on their toes at certain points; between the overall nature of DEVICE THEORY and also some of the stuff that happens in Staggering Winds, i have this approach of incorporating some aesthetics from the source material into my own analysis, and both of them happen to have that aesthetic where those kinds of transitions just felt fitting for me to do, if that makes sense. i intend for DEVICE THEORY Part 3 though to dial it back a good bit since pacing is especially going to be a huge focus for that one, and the less i throw people off, the easier it'll be for the video to actually be cohesive and easy to understand. of course i don't want it to be to the point where transitions like that feel like i'm just trying to be scary for the hell of it, rather i'm trying to just put more of a kick into the transitions compared to "anyway, moving on" or a fade in/fade out, but that might just be the VFX artist in me lol. i'll be more mindful about it, but i definitely don't wanna do away with it completely either, that'd feel kinda damaging to the "character" behind how i cover stuff so far, so making sure it's only done a couple times at most would def be ideal. the visual organization issue, i assume is just referring to points in my vids where i kind of don't have much in the way of a visual aid for what i'm talking about? either that or when i tend to go on tangents and don't have a lot of really fitting visuals to go with those tangents, which, i think in any case that seems like something that could be solved by me being a little more concise in my videos in general. i'm glad i was super thorough with parts 1 and 2, but i do also feel like i was thorough to a fault where i'd have points where i just...definitely didn't really know what to use for the visual side of things for what i was rambling about other than having some text or just a filler background. i'm hoping if i can trim the fat a lot more in future videos/topics, that it'll then help make the editing feel more in sync with the writing and voiceover. i think the vibe now is that i'd rather have a shorter video, but one in which every piece of it has a purpose and fits neatly together with other pieces, rather than a SUPER long video where i do have some bits here and there, but has stuff that feels like it's too bloated to fit with everything else. it's definitely a kinda thing where i think i did alright, but i know i'm gonna find ways to continue evolving my style once i branch out more and let myself try new things and get a better feel for how it should all come together in future videos ^^
I have been following the ARG from a distance for... I'd say well... Since the GonerPiece restoration. This channel is fascinating, honestly. I hope that we get more! Unrelated: I was playing Payday 3 while listening to this and I made 1600000 bucks. And 10 levels.
thanks for making this video! i like long videos on my favorite topics, so giving me an hour long video to eat up about something as interesting as an arg about deltarune is awesome
the six symbols in the blank-titled video are Unicode LRMs (left-to-right marks), used in correcting text flow for mixing right-to-left text like arabic and left-to-right text like english. I found that out by copying the title from the page source and putting it through xxd, which got me the hex code "e2 80 8e" followed by a space six times. that hex code corresponds to the LRM usually these are just used on their own to get "empty" looking values for fields that are required to be filled, like the video title maybe
The monochrome dremuer household reminds me of the “a world everything is exactly the same except you don’t exist” line from the goner version of monster kid in undertale
On the siivagunner wiki, most rips don't get their rippers added unless they make it into an album, since part of the channel is pretending to be siLvagunner (the actual names use a capital I and small l respectively), which literally uploaded "high quality video game rips" or music files ripped from games and uploaded with high audio quality. Rippers for siiva agree to have their names hidden to sell the illusion that the music was actually taken from the relevant game.
i don't think the usage of the unused text from chapters 1 and 2 is referencing dess at all. i think this video series is just using that text to make it seem like this sequence (which was apparently cut) was what that text was meant for also the goner piece sequence from the 5th video that you said was inscrutable i think is just a demonstration of the goner piece's power. it can erase someone from having ever existed, kind of like what the goner kid talks about in undertale in that fun event.
27:39 so I had walked way from my phone, and after that line all I hear was the animal crossing new horizons intro music (the ad for the themed switch set). Like “yeah no shit it was bizarre, that’s a whole different game” lol
17:28 OH THAT FUCKS! a world were kris was never there is such a bone chilling concept- you can just imagine how kris feels seeing their and their brother's room with *nothing* on their side - i have never felt so emotionally connected with a character so quickly holy shit
My immediate thought when the empty Dreemurr house came up was Goner Kid. Everything is the same, but Kris doesn't exist, just like how Goner Kid was saying.
What if, hear me out, the Winds brothers are Sans and Papyrus? It makes so much sense! They are both siblings! The first sibling writes in all lower case, like Sans and the second sibling writes in a more professional way, like Papyrus. Also, they are doing something for Gaster. Who are the two people that the Fandom commonly speculates were helping Gaster in Journal Entry 17? That's right, Sans and Papyrus! You're welcome for solving it, no need to thank me.
I accidentally wrote what I wanted to say at 21:05 on a random short about someone having a fake dog or something. 💀thank goodness such a thing only happened in an inconsequential matter. Anyways here’s what I initially wanted to say “I think staggering winds had disappeared into the game & their sibling is trying to find them in the dark via the goner pieces. For Winds failed to save the lost, thus becoming a goner themselves.” Also can begoned be word pleased? I think it sounds like a cool synonym for disappeared that would be used in a theatrical production.
The grey house section reminds me of the gonner kid (idk what he's called) and him talking about a world where everything is the same, but you dont exist. I dont know if you mention this tho since im only at 20:07
I haven't finished the video and idk if anyone else has mentioned it but, the face from Staggering Winds's profile pic it's not actually a face but Gaster's body upside down (the white parts from the sprite from when he gets surprised, specifically) Like I said I haven't finished the video yet, but I thought that was very interesting! Edit: So this HAS been said by others but, in addition to what I said Staggering Winds is an anagram of wingdings Gaster, so yeah this seems very very interesting
5:13 HELP_TALE??? There was a reboot attempt but it wasn't made by the same creator. Well technically two reboot attempts one way back and another one more recently on mspfa. Also someone decided to archive Help_Tale on the internet archive, it also has other stuff in it. Help_Tale just seems to pop up randomly even in non Undertale contexts. If you do make a video on it, you should make a Mollystars IT, also you should prob check out the docs with Help_Tales possible future plans in the googledocs that the creator left.
very likely yes! i'm currently still at work on part 3 though, so once i finish that and take a break from stuff for a while after, the staggering winds follow-up is def gonna be one of the first things i'll come back with
Ok great video, but why does the town at the end give me home town vibes. Like the fall yellow leaves, the church in the distance, and the the lake. Come on that’s gotta be something right?
SiIvaGunner may be ingrained in your head but real Gs know about the Original original SilvaGunner (please just call them Siiva I don't want the memory of the real guy to be lost under his parody)
i've been keeping a good eye on it! hoping to make a follow-up video some time after part 3 and once i've had a good break from vids as well after that
@@m0llystars Yay! I was just about to comment that I'd love to see you revisit this ARG since so much has changed and there's nobody else out there covering it.
The part about traveling to Undertale from Deltarune is really fascinating to me. If we follow the logic that funny wingdings man created Deltarune, then the characters from there travelling to Undertale would be exactly like a fictional character travelling to our real world.
aw man I have a headache and I thought this would be nice to watch but that's a lot of flashing lights timestamps to be wary of cos they give me migranes Well at least I can see the first 15 mins are mostly safe so I'll watch that but maybe just listen to the rest
forgot I left this pretty negative comment and felt bad, but seeing as it has a heart i'm gonna assume it wasnt taken too badly so thats good just wanna say I love these videos and I hope I didnt come across as a downer, I usually just listen to long videos on rewatches so its nbd, but I like to watch on a first run so I dont miss any good editing thank you for the flashing lights warnings, when i made this OG comment I was annoyed from the headache and how some of the creators I like dont post warnings and then do things with flashing lights and its like getting flash banged, beam sent directly to blast my brain so tldr its all good, if youre reading this Molly just wanted to get across that I love your videos and by putting flashing lights warnings youre helping out a ton
i would like to get back to those soon, yeah! i still want to actually finish part 2's comment reading, so i'm gonna figure out how i want to go about that...maybe jumping between this video and pt2 or something in the stream, idk but i'll figure it out once i'm ready to stream again this month JKLJKLDG
Delayed Real Comment with Real Thoughts: The most interesting aspect of this webseries to me- probably coming as a surprise to nobody- is what you refer to as "The abyss [of unused content] staring back". Or in more blunt terms, cut content yearning to be un-cut. The version of Deltarune that Staggering Winds is spitballing seems to center around a particular bit of Undertale fanon that I've always liked: conflating the Gonner Kid dialogue with Gaster and his followers. There's nothing in UT to explicitly link them, but there's enough common ground between "a world where you don't exist but everything works perfectly" and Gaster's whole deal that I've always felt pretty comfy calling Gaster a commentary on cut content. He's presumably an important figure in UT's history but nobody references him, the real-world idea of Gaster likely comes from unfinished projects predating Undertale but he didn't make it into the game itself, yada yada... in my mind there's a lot for potential for metanarrative there. Undertale doesn't do much to tackle the idea of unused content itself, but the themes it _does_ deal with are all approached from a similar angle: "what if this thing we do to fake people in stories had weight as if they were real? How would characters realistically react? Would it maybe be really fucked up???". What this logic applied to cut content might look like is hinted at by Gonner Kid, and is very clearly what Staggering Winds is trying to elaborate on. "How would it feel to be retconned from your own story? What perspective would you have on the new narrative assembled around your absence? What would it look like if some of these redacted beings refused to _stay_ redacted?". Even Undertale being roped in, which you (understandably) call kind of absurd, feels right in some sense. Deltarune in its original form predates Undertale, and simply by virtue of being a complete "here's the current contents of my brain" kinda project in the wake of a scrapped one, a huge quantity of ideas from proto-DR were likely sorted through, rejiggered and recontexualized as elements of Undertale. For every idea cannibalized this way, though, there were probably two that didn't make the cut. They had to be scrapped- as far as Toby knew at the time, permanently. Now, though, via the miraculous circumstances of Undertale's success, Deltarune is literally back from the dead. It, along with all its unused plot, ideas, and characters, have been fished back out of their own Gaster void and given a second chance at narrative relevance, but now mixed in with all the other old ideas that were mutated and re-used in Undertale, as well as a bunch of Undertale's original content. Even the _fanon_ perspectives that have built up in the years since Undertale's launch have doubtless leeched into the Deltarune slurry to some extent, as we can see with datamining now being a potentially necessary to understanding certain aspects of the game like the Unused text. Something-something "It is when we're monitored we get a strong sense of connection". I'm pretty sure I speak for both of us when I say this is the kind of thing I'm _hoping_ will get more emphasis in Deltarune itself, but in the case where's it's a smaller piece of the puzzle than I thought, I agree that it's valuable to have these fan interpretations to show just how far these ideas could have gone if Toby wasn't particularly worried about subtlety. Very good video Molly.
I mean. That's soul crushing. One da waking up and realizing that lige has carried on without you even being born. Retconning every choice you even made and people you met. Family you mightve had. And they all seem fine without you...or worse, even better. It's bad enough getting retconned, but having to see it play out...😢
Question: if the modified Deltarune suddenly had Chris not being Asreiel’s sibling, are we sure that second Winds still has a sibling? Or could the “stepping away” become a change to the reality of Wind’s themselves?
When it comes to the empty Dreemurr household, which you struggled to explain, when I first watched the series, it reminded me of Gonerkid from Undertale. In Undertale, Gonerkid describes that they fear the idea of a world in which they never existed. This empty Dreemurr household is just that for Kris, a world where they never existed, leaving Asriel an only child with a stack of boxes where Kris’s bed would have gone. Somehow, the Goner Pieces were able to manifest a world without Kris, which is likely why Gaster needed to mend the game: Kris was probably “shattering” into a Goner
I believe the “instance of the house where Kris was never adopted” part of the sequence with the GonerPiece is a reference to the theory that the ShadowCrystal shows the user a world where they don’t exist. (Kris sees through their hand, Susie was never convinced to be nicer and is glaring, the fountains were never opened). Just my two cents.
I only upload high quality video game rips.
what the fuck are you doing here

24:54 I actually wouldn’t stress too hard about that detail specifically. Winds probably used the Kristal engine in creation of this video, as that doll is replaced with that version of it in the Kristal build of Seam’s shop. Winds likely just didn’t realize that in terms of things behind the scenes.
Funny as hell
Honestly, that sort of adds to the video, intentionally or not.
I actually had an experience with this series really early, in such a weird way that I fully thought I'd been put into a creepypasta.

SO TRUE
I'm surprised you didn't mention Goner kid's dialogue considering how much relevance it has to Kris' situation--being transported to a world where they never existed yet everything functioning perfectly without them! I have a feeling it's important to the plot--maybe explaining the confusion between which Winds is recording? Him getting replaced with somebody else who eventually forgets they had a brother? 1. The titles show the poster's emotional state
The first 4 videos are in lowercase because OW (Original Winds) was making casual documentations, while SW (Sibling Winds) knew since they were uploading an unseen Deltarune demo it'd be important to the community.
2. There is interference
It's been confirmed also in the most recent video that the Goners are aware they're being recorded.
Deltarune resets may be different from Undertale's because of them being different universes and the game going to great lengths to seperate itself from its predecessor (namely, power vs. determination), and we don't know how Susie's (aka probably basically everybody else's) deja vu works in full as she remembers prevous events and how way the world is meant to be constructed, but not that her and Lancer were friends (or she was surprised he knew her name already and Lancer was misinterpreting, but that sounds like a contrived red herring)
Please let me know if there's inconsistencies in my logic or details I missed! Thanks for helping this series get its due attention Molly
this reminds me *heavily* of an old Undertale fan-work where every Undertale character had the souls of all the reset's versions fuse into one body, and Frisk needed to use a special soul locket to free said souls from each monster
I think it's called Help_tale
Yeah, that's help_tale. Its a pretty awesome concept despite never being finished. I believe the concept is: "What would happen if all the aus got fused together?"
i think thats the au that they said in the video that they might make a video on (they said it in some part near the beginning but i'm not gonna look for it now)
@@PhilAndMind its not only sanses, but yeah, the execution could have definitely been better..
I legit thought this was some kind of 4D chess hidden teaser that Toby Fox was doing. I feel like that speaks to the quality of Winds’s videos!
That or my gullibility
would not be shocked by the siiva gunner thing
fun fact: siivaGunner had a video that started with an incredibly good version of a song from petscop. this confused the petscop community, as at the time there was no petscop ost uploads. eveyone assumes its just a good recreation
cut to years later, after petscops creator is revealed- turns out they were friends with the siiva gunner creators and gave them a copy of some of the games songs
Imagine if this whole channel and series was actually toby fox doing this as a buildup to chapter 3... that would be hilarious
He is channeling the troll power
this fandom will never learn
In an alternate unvierse, thsi is exactly what is happening
That would be cool, but Toby is NEVER this direct with Gaster related stuff
Maybe not Toby, but an unusual font?
Not only do i love delta rune, not only do i love arg's, but i also love mollystarts videos. this is 3 of some of my favorite things put into 1 and words cannot describe how exited i am.

idk how I keep missing stuff like this that perfectly aligns with my niche interests lol, thanks for bringing this series to mine and other people's attention!
oh and you absolutely deserve the support, can't wait* to see tdt part 3 and whatever else you end up doing 💜

im so glad someone talked abt this because it felt like such a hidden gem like the videos always had little comments and differing amounts of views.
Codes are below:
1. DON’T TRUST THE PRINCE
2. DARKER YET DARKER
3. LOOK BEYOND THE CONFINES
4. SHE VANISHED IN A PLACE FROZEN IN TIME
5. TWO ENTITIES TWO WORLDS ONE ESSENCE
Only other things that happened were at the start, the end, and one point near the middle where the code jingle played without a code attached to it
Wait hold on I just found out Seam knowing of the GonerPiece is extra concerning because if you talk to them on a save file starting in Chapter 2 after having grabbed one of the Jevil items from the cliffside, they’ll say “You three defeated that clown last time, didn't you?” meaning they know that you beat Jevil but also know that they still have their part of Jevil’s key so -he- you couldn’t’ve gotten out. So they know about save files, they know things can transfer over between them, and they know things can be carried over that are otherwise impossible to obtain. That -Seams- seems very, very…
Concerning.
I've been following this arg for a while now, the last thing I expected was a video on it from my favorite deltarune youtuber
kinda random correlation speculation but; if the game is actually a portal interface what allows you to control a Kris, then wouldnt the beta have taken place in the past, not in a different timeline? That would line up with kris's stuff is still boxed up, they were just adopted, and the offhand mention of winds's brother 'stepping out' in the exact same way that Kris's brother stepped out, which would make kris, or a kris, the uploader?
The channel profile image for staggering winds seems to be a upsidedown version of the bottom half of the mistry man sprite.
Before I begin, just wanna say I got the best ad timing. "And it's pretty fucking bizarre AT DOMINOS OUR PIZZA-"
That said, I'm not personally sure what to think about Scattering Winds yet, at least as a series, but the way the goner piece warps the game and how Gaster is trying to collect them reminds me a lot of the OLD_DATA in Inscryption.
Saw the notification and got crazy excited thinking it was device part 3, but this is still great!
I love the Yoki to Lonely Girl change.
It has little to no significance, but that just makes it better.
Love watching your vids! You can see so much work was put into them.
Also they are very good break from reality and this road into such complex yet fun and engaging to uncover topics.
I scrolled through the bottom of the comment section (200 comments is weirdly not that long?) and you hearted nearly all of the comments 😭😭
Anyways i also wanted to say your videos are so great 😭 i love deltarune and i love watching the theories, obscure stuff, and lore about this game and paired with your voice and editing style its just so 😭😭
Thank you
Clicking to the beginning of all the flashing lights warnings in the description to prove that I’m strong.
if i had to make a guess, i'd think that the original winds progressed quite far along in the story and realized that whatever gaster was up to wasn't desirable, and thus abandoned the efforts- and the current winds is now unknowingly restarting that path
You should ABSOLUTELY do a video on the SiivaGunner ARGs. The Siiva lore really deserves to be analyzed by more people in general (hell, I started a script of my own but it's only a couple paragraphs, barely scratching the surface...)
Ohh, this is great. Captures the same feeling we got from playing the Weird Route

I love this video style it’s honestly amazing :)
This is so interesting. Have you seen the one by Ash Veil lane? And staggering winds did more since this. I hope you check both of these things. Once your part 3 of your big videos is done.
Im glad that there is an actual Undertale/Deltarune ARG
Toby's games really fit within ARGs, and after months ago finding the joke ARG "Undertale Lost Content Archive" and enjoying it, I have been craving for an actual one
For the blank video, the 6 blank spaces is most likely a reference to Gaster
Gaster is 6 letters long, and all his stats in the code of UNDERTALE are composed of the number 6

Thank you for introducing me to this fascinating channel. You've gained them a new subscriber. :)
Speaking of subs, congrats on 10K+!
If you push forward with this, you have the ability to really go places (idk where those places would be, though, one could say the future is in your hands)
This took 15 minutes. I have nothing better to do with my life.
edit: did you pin every single comment the video got..? i can't imagine having the patience to sort through, or even scroll through the amount of comments you pinned. That's some serious dedication.
thank you so much!! i am really glad to hear the sorta contrast between my art w/ the topics i cover tends to go over well and make some of the darker topics even feel kind of welcoming to talk about in tone, it's not something i had intentionally been going for but i think i just happened to lean into that through my original intent with my style of video ever since making videos under this alias. it rlly is flattering though to hear people hoping for my channel to grow even more though, we'll have to see how things go in the near future but, hopefully i can keep a consistent enough pace for that to be the case JKLKLJDHDH
for the glitchy transitions, i will likely do less of them in future videos for sure, although it's kind of hard to say because i know stuff like that plays into the tightrope i'm trying to walk of having my videos be easy to watch but also still having moments of leaving people on their toes at certain points; between the overall nature of DEVICE THEORY and also some of the stuff that happens in Staggering Winds, i have this approach of incorporating some aesthetics from the source material into my own analysis, and both of them happen to have that aesthetic where those kinds of transitions just felt fitting for me to do, if that makes sense. i intend for DEVICE THEORY Part 3 though to dial it back a good bit since pacing is especially going to be a huge focus for that one, and the less i throw people off, the easier it'll be for the video to actually be cohesive and easy to understand. of course i don't want it to be to the point where transitions like that feel like i'm just trying to be scary for the hell of it, rather i'm trying to just put more of a kick into the transitions compared to "anyway, moving on" or a fade in/fade out, but that might just be the VFX artist in me lol. i'll be more mindful about it, but i definitely don't wanna do away with it completely either, that'd feel kinda damaging to the "character" behind how i cover stuff so far, so making sure it's only done a couple times at most would def be ideal.
the visual organization issue, i assume is just referring to points in my vids where i kind of don't have much in the way of a visual aid for what i'm talking about? either that or when i tend to go on tangents and don't have a lot of really fitting visuals to go with those tangents, which, i think in any case that seems like something that could be solved by me being a little more concise in my videos in general. i'm glad i was super thorough with parts 1 and 2, but i do also feel like i was thorough to a fault where i'd have points where i just...definitely didn't really know what to use for the visual side of things for what i was rambling about other than having some text or just a filler background. i'm hoping if i can trim the fat a lot more in future videos/topics, that it'll then help make the editing feel more in sync with the writing and voiceover. i think the vibe now is that i'd rather have a shorter video, but one in which every piece of it has a purpose and fits neatly together with other pieces, rather than a SUPER long video where i do have some bits here and there, but has stuff that feels like it's too bloated to fit with everything else. it's definitely a kinda thing where i think i did alright, but i know i'm gonna find ways to continue evolving my style once i branch out more and let myself try new things and get a better feel for how it should all come together in future videos ^^
Your voice is nice and soothing! Huge fan
I have been following the ARG from a distance for... I'd say well... Since the GonerPiece restoration. This channel is fascinating, honestly. I hope that we get more!
Unrelated: I was playing Payday 3 while listening to this and I made 1600000 bucks. And 10 levels.
Staggering Winds --> WingdingS gaster
unsurprising
thanks for making this video! i like long videos on my favorite topics, so giving me an hour long video to eat up about something as interesting as an arg about deltarune is awesome
I'm waiting for the ash-veil lane video, the story seems to be shaping up quite nicely right now.
the six symbols in the blank-titled video are Unicode LRMs (left-to-right marks), used in correcting text flow for mixing right-to-left text like arabic and left-to-right text like english. I found that out by copying the title from the page source and putting it through xxd, which got me the hex code "e2 80 8e" followed by a space six times. that hex code corresponds to the LRM
usually these are just used on their own to get "empty" looking values for fields that are required to be filled, like the video title maybe
The monochrome dremuer household reminds me of the “a world everything is exactly the same except you don’t exist” line from the goner version of monster kid in undertale
I love the your editing and the style of your videos.
Your videos and voice are very calming and i get happy everytime you upload, keep up the good work! ^w^
Fucking hell the fake crash sounds are easily the scariest thing about this video, I'm too used to my PC actually fucking up lol
38:20 In other words... BEYOND THE CONFINES? where we have to LOOK?
My theory on where the NPCs went is that they either got completely deleted, or they’re in that world where Kris never existed.
Love the Petscop reference in the title lol
is that a reference to HELP_take about 5 mins in? God I miss that au
i don't think the usage of the unused text from chapters 1 and 2 is referencing dess at all. i think this video series is just using that text to make it seem like this sequence (which was apparently cut) was what that text was meant for
also the goner piece sequence from the 5th video that you said was inscrutable i think is just a demonstration of the goner piece's power. it can erase someone from having ever existed, kind of like what the goner kid talks about in undertale in that fun event.

Did you notice that Wind's avatar is the bottom half of Gaster's sprite upside down?
I heard they dug up an old hard drive toby fox covered in salt and buried in the woods and thats where the build came from :)
U gonna make me cry with that sappy shit at the end molly. Thanks for the vid, enjoyed it a lot.
best christmas gift, new molly vid!!!!
For Winds failed to save the lost, thus becoming a goner themselves.”
Also can begoned be word pleased? I think it sounds like a cool synonym for disappeared that would be used in a theatrical production.
The grey house section reminds me of the gonner kid (idk what he's called) and him talking about a world where everything is the same, but you dont exist. I dont know if you mention this tho since im only at 20:07
banger content as always :)
I love your voice, so relaxing!
I haven't finished the video and idk if anyone else has mentioned it but, the face from Staggering Winds's profile pic it's not actually a face but Gaster's body upside down (the white parts from the sprite from when he gets surprised, specifically)
Like I said I haven't finished the video yet, but I thought that was very interesting!
Edit: So this HAS been said by others but, in addition to what I said Staggering Winds is an anagram of wingdings Gaster, so yeah this seems very very interesting

The part about traveling to Undertale from Deltarune is really fascinating to me.
If we follow the logic that funny wingdings man created Deltarune, then the characters from there travelling to Undertale would be exactly like a fictional character travelling to our real world.
I have it backwards.
Undertale is the ""game"" in this theory and Deltarune is the ""real"" world.

i took that clip from the movie, knockin on heaven's door!

Is that wonds
winds why did you choose your profile picture to be that face that appears when you flip the gaster sprite? Will that be important in the story?
Delayed Real Comment with Real Thoughts:
The most interesting aspect of this webseries to me- probably coming as a surprise to nobody- is what you refer to as "The abyss [of unused content] staring back".
So a character that wishes to retcon itself into existing? Very cool idea
Oooh that is neat, that makes sense.
A creation that wants to insert itself into the story it’s God erased it from.
Horrifying. I love it.
You're insane (positive) and definitely onto something interesting
When Molly said about using "original Winds" and just "Winds" I instantly thought about this
despite spelling all the names wrong. that is a good point
Huh.
Gaster himself seems to have a lot of experience in being erased from the world, with nobody really remembering you were there.
