Sacred and Sacred 2: Fallen Angel are not Diablo clones or even Diablo style games no because they are fantasy MMO styled open world RPG games not Diablo clones now Sacred 3 on the other hand is a Diablo clone and a bad one at that.
The best thing I love about Sacred and Sacred 2 is the skill customisation choices. There are a lot of branching combat styles that you can choose depending on your preferences. There are a lot of cool weapons also. But in this game, the weapon types are locked based on you characters, meaning that a Seraphim can only use a sword. you know what, I'm not gonna waste my time anymore. This game is shit! Nuff said.
I am so depressed now. I just finished sacred two after 11 years... But when this came out I knew that we lost that good quality. So sad. I want to help them. They had so good ideas!
I played Sacred 2 back during the Dark Age of the action RPG genre (in fact, I played it before I ever played any Diablo games), and it was a slow, methodical, quirky and unique game. I wasn't totally smitten by the game and I never completed it, but it was interesting and one of the first Diablo-clones I ever played. I watched this WTF Is? video when it first released six years ago, and watching it a second time I'm still amazed that Dungeon Siege III escaped mention. I guess TotalBiscuit didn't play it or had forgotten about it, because the parallels between the two games are extremely close! Sacred 3 did the same thing Dungeon Siege III did three years earlier: take an established Diablo-clone franchise and strip it down into an action game with standard action controls and simplified RPG systems. I was not happy with the change of direction DS3 took, but the difference was that unlike Sacred 3, the developer (the legendary Obsidian Entertainment) made a decent action game. DS3 wasn't great, and the Dungeon Siege franchise is probably permanently dead now (as is the Sacred franchise), but it has "mixed" reviews on Steam, whereas Sacred 3 has "mostly negative." Keen Games should have seen the lack of enthusiasm for DS3 and realized doing the same thing with the Sacred franchise was not a good idea. Mistake!
DS 3, taken as an independent game is decent, it's only glaring failure is as a Dungeon Siege game. Sacred 3 is just bad, no matter what angle you look at it aside from graphics which are ok.
@@fire_ant_187x7 what? The story is absolutely terrible. T-energy? What? On top of that, the graphics are very strange, kinda overtuned and way to bright. Played trough it two times anyway, because the characters where great and the gameplay was fun and a lot like Sacred 1. But otherwise meeh!
@@HeLLraiser391 say whatever you want. They don't make games that anymore. All this new shit is just Mindless garbage for ADHD people that just want to press buttons. You played through two times? I played the game for years. I experienced almost every character to the max. The game was only terrible to people who couldn't understand it or get strong at the game
I remember back then when I got eager to hear that there was a sequel for Sacred only to see this travesty of a game. They might as well sell this trash as a mobile game with paywalls lol.
I love legendary old RPG. I'm trying to play Sacred 2: Ice and Blood V 2.56 (Fallen angel expansion) now. I have played this game way back year 2009. And i found out that this game is very therapeutical. I'm sad hearing about this sacred 3 :(
Actually, I thought Sacred 3 was pretty good imo. In fact, the campaign (as well as the costumes the main characters were wearing) made me feel I was kinda playing a superhero game if anything. Sacred 2 was pretty good as well, but I was more like grinding (or rather working on side missions) rather than progressing through the story. Sacred 3 did good by me...
Yeah but keep in mind that diablo and sacred games are grind-based games, you grind the content to the point where you are godly and find all the best items in the game. This game is like an action one-time play kind of game. Nothing to do with the previous titles..
It's always fun looking at what these trash devs have made since this videos came out. Keen went on to make Portal Knights, which was fairly successful, they then went on to make a million Portal Knights DLC's and nothing else. >__>
I was looking forward to Sacred 3. I'd played Sacred and Sacred 2 Fallen Angel and the Sacred expansion Underworld and the Sacred 2 expansion Ice and Blood. I thought Sacred 3 would continue the story line. I was disappointed to put it mildly Sacred 3 went off on a ridiculous tangent. That was idiotic of the developers to ignore the player base and the two earlier games. You had one job. How could you botch it that badly? I hope the story line gets continued. I'm looking forward to seeing how Ancaria fares without T Energy.
I think sacred two is an interesting premise and the customization is next level but the actual game is not worth playing. if someone were to add those customization options in a good game it would easily boost it to s teir but sacred two is not a good game. The idea of the 3rd one not being all that similar to the second one doesn't inherently diminish it in my eyes.
I just can't get into Sacred in general. Tried playing 2 today, and it was boring as hell. Idk. Just not my cup of tea. Nothing gripped me enough to want to keep playing.
Sacred 3 is a complete pile of smelly horse poop and is nothing more then a poor Diablo 3 clone. Oh and by the way it's called Dynasty Warriors not Dinasty Warriors, say it right or don't say it at all.
I came here to watch a bit of gameplay before buying Sacred3 (5€ right now in Steam). This is an old video but let me say you guys something: The ones who are wrong are YOU. Stating this game is shit is like saying Crash Team Racing or SuperMario Kart were trash because you cant jump on boxes and kill creatures while getting apples or mushrooms. Yeah, expectations were high I suppose but this game is completely different and for its whole different genre I find it funny, casual and refreshing, and maybe great when played in co-op (trying to make some friends to also buy it). You can't judge a title because "it's not the same than its predecesor". It's like saying FF9 is not a good game because you loved the Materia system. You expect a pure hack and slash "casual roguelite" to be like a huge RPG full of skills, loot, maps and cities. Again, you can be disappointed about the fact that they didn't want to create another RPG, but at the same time you can't say this game is pure trash because you don't like the genre.
Sacred 1 and 2 are amazing. 2 is one of the best Diablo style and open world games ever made. Ancaria is extremely well made fantasy land.

Sacred Gold was the best
Sacred 1 and Diablo 2 Best Rpgs Of all Time !!!

Well theres sacred 2

It warms my heart seeing Total Biscuit with still 2 million subs, despite being gone. I just don't have it in me to unsub.

Dungeon siege 3 and sacred 3 . Soul calibur 6 taki says. You'll be lost in history.
why Ascaron went bankrupt when Sacred 2 is a successful?

This game was a massive disappointment compared to the second game
It's an abomination that should have taken a different name it's that much of a fall off a cliff.
Death if a franchise it was indeed. Unfortunate.
Why is there only 2 comments?
Probably deleted a ton of comments.

looks worse than a mobile game
