SLEEVES did a short review on the paddle. I like the idea of foam and have two other brands. VICE, & OM EVO.I have both. In 8 yrs of playing, I've bought 40 paddles chasing the EXCALIBER. Paint grit is a real turn off for me buying the FIREFLY. If the tech improves with the "grit sheets" that seems to be coming, i.e. RELOAD, I may consider buying this paddle. Just ordered, thanks for the code and info.
@@kimleith1378 I believe I saw his review. The texture on this paddle is not painted on from what I can tell because it’s just a subtle texture. They call it a polymer texture face which seems like it’s apart of the facing layer process. But I agree I steer away from painted on grit even though it offers great texture at the beginning. I thought the same thing about the Reload paddle too. Although I’m not convinced that resin grit from peel ply wears out much from a 1oz plastic ball.
@@TheLuckyDink I use a PIKKL sheet on a old Gearbox of mine. It's really not that gritty. Since I'm really not a super "spinner" player, although with swing mechanics I can put plenty of "junk" on the ball.
Quite intriguing paddle. Thanks for the details.
Adam, thank you so much for the fantastic review! You did a great job of capturing the essence of what our paddles are all about...👏
@@FireflySports Thank you for the kind words! I’m glad I was able to find you guys and pass this information onto others that could benefit!
