    Thank you. My daughter and I had the opportunity to go to DC when she was in the 7th grade. At the time I thought I would look up information on the Smithsonian Institute as I knew we would be going there. I was amazed that it is made up of 17 museums! Spent most of our time in Air and Space!

    I noticed that dim lighting is an issue in a lot of museum videos. I think certain water based colors/dyes, woods and textiles are very light-sensitive. That might be why they're so dimly lit.. to help preserve them over time.

    Just started watching your videos and enjoying them. If you are ever interested in interesting and unique things try coming to the Detroit area to Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum. They do have All in the Family & Archie Bunker on TV as of today - 06/08/2022 - in the Boston Area. Regular Airwaves on a Marlborough, Mass. Station. I don't know if they would have the show for you Locally. Maybe Cable. This Video is surely a 'Walk down Memory Lane'. Ted Williams was a Local Boy. Man, 'he served his Country in two Wars' - Early & Later Peaks - and still 'is considered One of the Best Base Ball Players' - Ever. Norman Rockwell's Prints raised some $132 million dollars in 1943 money = $2,205,918,381.50 - trillions (06/08/2022). Wow! Really Cool. Thanks for the Effort. God Bless.

    What's more un-American than charging some Family an astronomical amount of money for an item that costs .50 cents wholesale. Quick math says that a Family of 5 would expect to pay $100 for lunch with drinks and tax. WTF. The irony, the many many reminders of the hard fought freedoms in the museum, and the scattered reminders of the lost freedoms outside in the form of a $7 kids meal, no doubt, $9 dollars in 2022.

      Back in October 2018y husband was working at West Point, NY and staying at a hotel in Fort Montgomery while I and my kids were home in Panama City, FL. October 10th Panama City was hit by a massive category 5 hurricane and after being trapped for 2 days I took my kids to New York to be with my husband. We took a train into NYC and had an absolute blast. I also took a few minutes to myself and wound up going to the Fort Montgomery historic site which was burned down by the British in 1776. That was where I decided that I wanted to explore historical sites and museums like you. I got bit by the history bug big time! I only hope my content is as good as yours!

  • @Azw3thinkw3iz
    @Azw3thinkw3iz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    My brother in Christ you keep saying “the room is so dark I can’t see anything!” Yet haven’t googled why. The reason why they are dark is to preserve the cloth of the pieces they have on display. Believe it or not yes light can damage cloth given time. To prevent this the museum keeps the lights dim and the temperature constant to give the cloth the best chance of survival for future generations to observe.
