Damn those were the times we actually got good electronic music at those parades. I wish EDM parades like the Street Parade in Switzerland would bring more of this music instead of the mainstream radio tunes that are often playing these days.
Theres no big money in making "good" electronic music unfortunately. The new generation wants their "Put your fucking hands up" music with maxed volume headbanging because thats really the only acceptable way to dance nowadays apparently. Or the classic watch the entire show through your phone so you can post it on facebook to show your friends how much you love "partying" woooo....
@@minglee2424 that is simply not true! there is so much going on in the techno scene nowadays. If you cant find anything that means that you are not really looking for it. You should check out contemporary artists like I hate models, boston 168, JKS, paula temple, tkivilsaari, ansome,... many of these are quite popular atm. if you look up their sets on youtube you can see people dancing and getting lost in the music, so how exactly are they not dancing enough? There may be a lot more commercial music than back in your days but parallel to that there´s so much other stuff going on!
I'm talking in terms of big festivals like this though. Generally "raves" will have crowds that are more connected with the music but the festivals are just a big circle jerk for people who either enjoy pop or big room type of electronic music that are spun by one trick "DJs" that can't compare to the days of old. Don't get me wrong they do get some nice acts in festivals but they are more often than not pushed off to the side and are few and far between... paying a premium to only see a few DJs is what ultimately led me to stop going to festivals altogether. But in a sense you are right there's still great music being produced/played It's just a lot harder to find them.
