Eastern Meadowlark reviewing its immediate environment

An Eastern Meadowlark stops by drainage pond about a half hour before sunset on the evening of 4/16/24 in West Anne Arundel County to review the situation. There is not much action in this video, but as this was such an unusual sighting for me I thought I would preserve it here. As for so many species, suitable breeding locations for meadowlarks have been greatly reduced by habitat loss due to new construction.
