Friggin awesome. Would love to see him live. Guess as of this date (2.10.2021) King is working on a record for BOTH King Diamond & Mercyful Fate. Anyone else getting close to 50...and still rocking to this stuff like we did years ago?????
I turned 46 this past July, and, to be honest, I rock even harder now than ever. My typical playlists are comprised of mostly late 80's/early 90's trash/progressive and modern era technical death metal. The talent and skill to be found in tech death these days is absolutely mind bending, to say the least. When I first began playing the drums (way back in 1989), I wouldn't have ever believed that musicianship could come this far. I remember when kick drum tempos over 200bpm were considered to be nearing the threshold of human ability. Now you have drummers hitting speeds of 300-350bpm with their feet using swivel technique and/or double strokes. I'm not especially interested in blistering bass drums at those speeds, as I'm more a thrash/progressive/groovy death type of guy, but it sure does make life more interesting and entertaining being able to witness others doing so. Stay heavy, brother, and long live the King 🤘
It's impressive how fast and how many times he can change the vocal register of what he' s singing
