Adventure Time RC I agree. Some of the things I do are just for demo and not necessarily the way I would do it. Like running a car on 3s when it should only run 2s. 😳😉 Be safe my friend!
I replaced the esc/reciver just like you perfectly demonstrated. Now the new esc isnt binding with the remote. Its the reason why i had to replace the esc. Do you know how to bind the radio?

It could be possible the radio is bad are you turning on the radio first then the car

Yes turn in your radio first and then the car and it should bind hope this helps 👍
