Bro I am so glad you made this video as I was almost stuck at my job in a different state. I took out the cylender and used as flathead with my fob and got my car to let me drive home. now I have to get a new cylender and key cause I lost my key while at work. it broke off the fob. SMH never thought it would happen to me like that.
Were you able to get the pin out without drilling? He made it look easy, but not so easy. Stuck on getting the piece out. The 4 screws were not easy. Two of the four screws were not easy. Had to get help from a mechanic, but still can't get the part out.
Worked great. It's a step before drilling or hunting down a expensive retraction kit. Thank you
My bro. Thank you so much. I watched you video and the screw driver technique worked. Took me about 5 mins or less.
Thank you so much for your help I’m really appreciate

How’d you get stranded? Did your wheel lock up and the key wouldnt turn in the ignition?
Awesome video!
Thanks!
Do you haveyo reprogram the new key when you swap out the Ignition Lock Cylinder?
Any new key has to be programmed unless you cut out the transponder from the old one and place it in the new one.
Thank you. Very helpful video.
But then you can’t use the same roll pin correct?
so what happens with the little pin when you pull out the cylinder(?) and put it back in? in the drilling video dude had to tap it back in with a nail
Yes you need to place the roll pin back to hold the cylinder in
What year honda?
Do what you did. Work to take out the tumbler assembly. Remove the worn tumbler that keeps key from turning. Reassemble, like NEW. Cost you NOTHING.
Game changer

I have a 97 mine is slightly different. lol.
Not really easy as you said.
Dude, you are the shiz!
...this is fundamentally misleading bro.
This is how I do every ignition repair or replacement
@@keydlocksmith so use a screw driver to take the roll pin out instead of a pin extractor tool ?
Agreed. Very misleading. I wasn't able to get the screws out so easily, and could not get the part out with the screwdriver trick. :(
Awwwwwwww...I'm about to try it. I Hope that doesn't happen to me.
It worked great for me
