Which bible translation committee were you appointed to when using your expert knowledge to translate from the original languages into english?
Virginia Ramey Mollenkott was a consultant on the original NIV committee. She is a devout Lesbian who calls God the God of the breasts, and a huge women's liber. This version was so bad that many men who wrote study notes for Bibles such as John MacArthur would not for many years allow their notes to be used in a NIV Bible. John MacArthur to the chagrin of his church finally allowed it, but when asked why he said (Paraphrasing) at least they could get some truth and correction to such an inaccurate translation.
Well, it's a nice review, Tim... but now I don't think I'll ever stop looking for the spaces in the letters a, e, or d in my bible again, lol! ;) I worked several years in Christian Retail and all my reps were great. Any time a church had an order for bibles or even bible studies, most of the publishers were willing to sell direct for at least 40% off MSRP. That makes a huge difference when you're talking pew bibles at that pricepoint. Was always nice to see folks not have to worry about their budgets like they'd thought.

To get a good Idea of the Textual criticism and what is wrong with so many English Versions of the bible read a book called "A More Sure Word." Every Christian should know their Bible History.
