That's good to know. My one and only rooster loved me, and liked being held and sitting on my lap or my shoulders. I learned real quick to never use a net on my chickens after they learned what it was for and would run away as soon as they saw it, haha. I taught them to come when I shook the treats container. I'd never seen anyone hold down a rooster before, for that reason. Thanks.
I'm not sure why they started being aggressive toward me all of a sudden. They've been very good up until just a few weeks ago. Then both roosters came after me. Lol Maybe the time of year? I don't know.
Way to go Yuvonca ! 👋 Hope it works fer ua . I make sure my roos have their spurs trimmed short . I got hit by one of my roos n he got me good . One spur went through the edge of my left hand . Other went deep n my left leg . Needless to say it was sore for a few weeks . 6-8 months ago I didn't have any roos ; now have 6 . Two buffs, lake lavender, Ameracana, araucana?, barrrd Plymouth rock .
Good to see how you dominate a rooster! I would imagine that would work. Bad to have to go to the stew pot, so best to not bite, or spur, the hands that feed you!!! If I know of anyone who needs a rooster set straight I know who to send them to, "The Master Rooster Catcher!"
You may get him to tolerate you for a bit but you will never tame an aggressive Rooster and they hand the "mean gene" down to the chicks if you breed them. Other than protecting a free range flock aggressive roos are pretty much useless. Yall have a good weekend
😥 I'm going to keep trying for a little while. I want to incubate some Lavender Orpington eggs this spring. Not sure why he just started being aggressive all of a sudden?
@@ourkentuckyhome771 I understamd completely, they usually wont show their true colors until they are around 9 months to a year old, they peak and you will know which roos to keep and which to cull from the breeding. Have a great weekend yall

Nice job. I really hope it works. Will be looking for next video to see if their attitude changed.
I hope so too!
Enclosed roosters are more territorial then feee range
But free range get eaten
You have to use thick gloves too!
Yes! And Hank has huge spurs😳
@@ourkentuckyhome771 one of my roosters got my dad big time! I felt so bad 😭 he was bleeding through his jeans. 👖
You might have to do it again! But I hope it worked the first time ❤
I think I am going to have to do it again. This video was done 2 days ago. Hank kinda chased me this morning 🙄
@@ourkentuckyhome771 bad Hank

Hello . How much does it cost to raise animals like this?
Are you referring to goats and livestock guardian dogs?
@@ourkentuckyhome771 oke . nice to miss you ? you from ?

I don't think the button on the screen actually works. I think it's just to remind people to sub. 😊
