    First..... Don't fly close and NEVER over People. A absolute NO in beach/cliff soaring. Second: 38km/wind ? At 30 you will see "white horses". White tips on the waves outside. Third: NEVER fly without life jacket and at least 2 times your Body weight in floating devices in your harness. The wipp curles WILL drag you under.
    Last year we had again 4 Paraglider die here at our coast EXACTLY because of this. Happy flying, safe landings and greetings from the Algarve Coast.

    Hello. If this is an instructional video I think you should also say that you should not fly in extreme conditions and when if you can´t fly foward or are having difficulties you must quit and land immediatelly . The video was very well explained I will be watching more yoyr content. Thank you

    I got stuck in the gully last weekend. I was too low and closer in to the gully when the wind picked up and I was pinned.
    Everytime I apply the speed bar I keep sinking. I face the wind when I do that. Instead of getting any lift the wing decided to sink vertically and eventually landed on the ground.
    Is this usual behavior of the glider to sink when u apply speed bar??

    • @PeterHoldy
      @PeterHoldy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that is normal behavior that your glider will increase sink rate while using speed bar, as you changing pitch of your glider. A and B class wings like to sink more then C,D,Ccc gliders as they have low aspect ratio.
      You need to always assets conditions as they can change really quickly. Always have mental picture of terrain and air flow over it. This should keep you safe and ahead of danger 👍

    Sorry to shoot you a negative comments BUT.
    Not everyone enjoys our sport ...Dicing around fairly closely above other beach users is NOT cool....you can easily piss people off.
    Sure you are an expert pilot but beach going Bill may not be impressed that you are swooping back and forth over his young family .
    I did not watch all the the through but your leaf in the water example was confusing ...a simple diagram ...is so much easier to demonstrate .
    On the whole I really enjoy your videos and thank you for producing them ( love your laugh!) but ...not this one...sorry

    • @PeterHoldy
      @PeterHoldy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes i agree with you , about people on beach. Trying not to fly over them , but sometimes you have to fly over them to build height. Sometimes i like to fly low and trying not to piss people off but that is impossible task in this World 🤷‍♂️. Thank you for your Honest comment ! i really appreciate honest people as i can learn from it. cheers !🙏
