World of Warships Blitz Roles - Gunboat Destroyer

- In this episode of the tech tree guide, I'll be talking about the role of an aggressive gunboat destroyer, the opposite of stealth - what responsibilities this role has, what skills are needed and which tech tree branches are applicable to it.
This role is basically a mini cruisers spamming your guns at range and hunting dds and scouting it is the one of the best role and it's fun.
I've been thinking about this quite a bit, and I've been sort of splitting those two. There's the aggressive sort of "dogfight" destroyer role, which is this one, and there are others that are almost cruisers - scout cruisers, really - like the IJN gunboats, Khaba, the French, Elbing line etc. I feel the gameplay is sufficiently different that they deserve their own subsection, because they'd have a much harder time to play this role due to their relatively low manoeuvrability. There's some overlap - gunboat DDs can totally play at range when needed, but doing it exclusively, or even primarily, disregards some important aspects, like objective domination.

I've found the Russian Destroyers can effectively rush lone ships bow on with speed boost taking min damage , you have to pass very close under thier main guns, attacking bow on with speed boost surpasses thier turret traverse keeping you safe , situational but very effective technique with some practice

Great breakdown and explanation!!! I prefer the cowardly stealth torping variants myself, but have been having quite a few DD vs DD battles lately, and its really important to know who you can and cant have a mini-brawl with!!
The French Destroyers are ,Id say ,A Free premium line , The Le Fantasque is a beast ,the Mogador is a But up and down in guns but damn they're fastest shios and m 139 mm hits hard

I played this game since the beginning and stopped years ago, having some good dmg games and high wr. Now I kinda have the motivation to get back to this for some reason. My game knowledge is already rusty, but I think I can get to my own feet again with some vids.
I remember grinding the Khaba line as my final one before stopping. I loved the brawling DDs or just gun spamming lines in general, with Mino as my main CL. Those were not the popular roles at that time. I stopped because at that point CVs were a menace in high tiers and it annoyed me.
I found your channel recently and now watching your vids for addt'l info, and I was surprised there are way TOO many lines now compared to the release year of this game. I think this is a poor question and out-of-topic from this vid, but what are the good (maybe meta?) lines to grind nowadays? Also, thank you so much for your vids!
Hms CVs and Italian BBs are meta
For DD , I say Daring line and z52 line are great. For CL , Worcester line has great utility and Mino line was still great
Watch out for enemy Italian battleships at higher tiers, they have semi armor piercing shells that eradicate cruisers and destroyers. Carriers are also extremely common at high tiers as well.
Mino is still a pretty strong CL imo. The USN CLs are excellent support cruisers, the German BB line is excellent for an aggressive player, but Italian BBs are probably the most "meta" at the moment. Careful with their SAP, they don't overpen DDs, so stay well clear of them.
There's an alternate Soviet DD line now, which still has pretty good guns, but can stealth torp. British DDs are excellent as well.
I'm not a CV player, so can't really say much about that, but I'll keep making the "Roles" videos to show different styles and responsibilities, and which lines match.

WOWS Blitz is basically dead, mostly bots aby time of the day. I don't get why people keep flogging a dead horse.
Because its a great game and 7yo dont understand that, MW is complete repetitive gameplay WoWsB has many scenarios and has more maps than MW and a much less ram-intensive game.
MW players dont even know how to properly aim and its mostly because MW is dumbed down for you to touch 5 buttons only, no critical thinking only missile spamming.
