    Hey Kerry, a shout out from Zennihome Citizen owner #12. My site permits are in the oven and Zenni is helping my GC coordinate the process. I was up at the factory last month seeing them put the last 20% of the build together. I can almost smell that new home smell now LOL. I found them right here on your channel when you first reviewed them. Keep doing what you're doing!

    I've seen the product models in Mesa AZ. Great product, and feels so much bigger than they are. Steel frame, steel studs, high performance surfaces, tankless water heater, etc. Sustainably built. You'll want to buy one as ADU, off-grid, or if like simple living, on any lot. Quality product, and I've seen Boxabl up close also.

    I think it makes more sense to design and ship regionally, minimising design and transportation costs. Selling long distance (without regional factories )makes no economic sense .
    Base prices on these are reasonable. High unit production (25 per day) to keep cost down.
    Great design and esthetics are a winner for Zenni. !

      @KerryTarnow it's from the early 1900...it was hugely popular...you could pick your house style, window design, trim and finishing, internal fixtures, furniture and they delivered to whole kit and kaboodle with plans and you did the build.a lot of house building tv shows have refenced them, such a great concept

    Wait, so I could get a put together mix and match with Dennison kitchen on one side and a Citizen on the other? Like, building your house then sticking a in-law/guest side that include a smaller kitchen. Personally I do like the idea of big house to have a 2nd kitchen. I saw 2 instance of this that I loved. A big-ish house my aunt lived, had the main at the front and a simple one on the back towards the patio. It came very handy for backyard activities. The other was on a 2nd floor, a sort of kitchen on the media room. Had a sink, a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and air fryer. Basically a kitchen without a stove. We weren't allowed down stairs once the owners went to bed and set the alarms. Both situations. Make me realize how useful having a second one depending on your lifestyle and the family or friends involved.

    A forty thousand back order? That is a LOT even when Zennihomes can ramp up production. @4:25, once the modules are turned over to developers, the element of "affordability" disappears as they treat the units like standard builds and price accordingly.

    • @KerryTarnow
      @KerryTarnow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I was surprised, had no their waitlist was that long

  • @kimberlyking8131
    @kimberlyking8131 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    At current capacity, 40,000 backlog at 3 per day = 51 years. If the other plant comes on line in 18 months increasing output to 28 per day = almost 6 years to work through current backlog. I wonder how many people will wait that long.

    • @KerryTarnow
      @KerryTarnow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah those are long waits. I think once they dial in the first purpose built factory they’ll start on another but it all takes time

    • @kmichaelp4508

      I’m sure it can being a steel roof. But! The runoff would be my concern. I think their plan isn’t for wetter areas of the country and that puts me off. I would like to see a slant roof with 2 foot overhang all around.

      @@kmichaelp4508 That would be nice. I wonder if you put solar panels up there, would that help with the run off? I am Texas, so it's either flooding or we're in a drought (ten inches of rain is expected over the next few days).
