    LOVE the look the radial, 3 bladed prop and spinner give it. Stunning.

    Beautiful plane! The Ryan Sta was a racing plane so if you want better performance try a 17x8 2 blade prop. 2 blade props are more efficient so this will give you more thrust and speed! The 17x10 3 blade is to much for this engine. The manual recommends 16x8 to 18x6 2 blade. When you add a blade you generally reduce pitch by 2. Just a friendly suggestion:-)

      @vicyboy12  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks. I'm flying with 16x8 3 blade now. 17x10 3blade fly slow. I bought the ramoser vario prop 17inch. Can be adjustable pitch. Havent try to fly with this yet

    Beautiful! Just bought the same Plane and thinking of using the same engine. How in the world did you get the Cowl to fit over the 2 exposed cylinders? Do the polished metal inserts in the cowl behind the cylinder have something to do with it?

    • @vicyboy12
      @vicyboy12  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ken, you need to cut the big square opening on both side to fit the cowling .The metal sheet its actually to cover the opening hole and i did some airbrush on it to bring some hot surface & oil effects to look more natural .without the plate to cover will look ugly on the cowling with holes for your engine cylinder

    Ok, strange choice to put a radial engine in an aircraft that had an inline engine, but it works and sounds nice. Probably cools better as well. Also it looked to me like you have too much throw dialed into your elevator - causing porpoising on landing. Great looking aircraft. Nice video.

    • @vicyboy12
      @vicyboy12  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks..yes to much throw on the elevator.

    Hi... Thanks for the video of this awesome model. I was wondering if you have had any problems with this engine mounted in this way ??? I'm looking to put one of these in an ESM FW-190 and mounting the engine the same way as you did, to use the scale exhaust troughs for cylinder cooling. Also, sorry if I missed the details, but what exhaust are you using? Kindest regards, Rob.

    • @vicyboy12
      @vicyboy12  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi thanks. I have no issue flying the engine mounted like this .im using the stock exhaust (flexible pipe)extended with aluminium tube/pipe to bring it out from cowling.but your esm fw-190 is with round cowling which i think no issue mounting it in any direction
