    Canucks 3-1 down, on the road, did something amazing. That is what real effort looks like. It was similar to the Leafs game. The Preds were playing shut down, just like the Bruins. I don't know what Rick Tocchet said, but the Canucks responded.

    Steve jokes about putting Reaves in front of the net with all the stars out trying to score. Canucks just did this with Zadorov to tie the game in Nashville. In 2010 the Flyers and Blackhawks did this with Pronger and Buff. This actually works.

  • @stephenkyriakou4286

    I agree with Adam that i believe it was a concussion - the way Nylander was on the ice looking fine but still not playing...if he was having migraines once you are symptom free you are usually good to go.
    However with concussions you have to clear multiple stages of physical activity with no next-day symptoms to be able to get cleared to play. The deliberately progressive load in practices while seeming completely fine pointed to concussion protocol.

    I said this on the LFR and I'll say it here: I was more energized by that Bob Cole tribute than the game that followed. My bf, who is a new hockey fan bearing witness to this Groundhog Day nightmare we endure every single year, said the same thing. Never mind me and my fandom - that speaks volumes about the apathy on that ice. Even people who don't have the baggage can see it plain as day.

    • @ericschuck9147
      @ericschuck9147 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They found one image that made Samsonov look terrible and translated that to him being unplayable. JVR has done that to a lot of goalies. The second goal, Samsonov was screened by two Bruins and two Leafs. He didn't see where the puck was going until it was too late. In short, good teams pick up their goalies, not burn them at the stake

    • @MattDouglas-q8r
      @MattDouglas-q8r 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ericschuck9147 I completely agree. Steve kept talking about getting a goalie between the 10-20 range in NHL quality and I think Samsonov has been that since returning. This series he’s 1 goal saved below expected according to Moneypuck and Swayman is 8 goals saved above expected. Yes, Sammy is completely outclassed this round, but not many goalies wouldn’t be.
      As a team, they can’t say they’re running into hot goaltending. They’re making Swayman look better than he is. When you continually make the other team’s goalie look good for the better part of decade in the playoffs, it has eventually fall back on you.

  • @DylanHamilton26
    @DylanHamilton26 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    My prediction before the series started was 4-1 bruins and if they played Florida, swept 4-0. You can't conceivably look at the style of play between the teams and the momentum heading in, mental load of previous matchups including being winless against them in playoffs since the 50's and winless against them this season. It's obscene to think this team was ever going to win, never mind get to 6/7 games. If they do it - they'll win the cup.

    That 1st rd pick was flipped with a 2nd rd pick to Anaheim to move up from 30th to 22nd to draft tyler biggs (who never played an NHL game)
