If they mess up, the citizens pay the lawsuit and the cop gets paid overtime to take a training class which he will then ignore. I had a trooper do this to me. He ran me off the road while he was passing a car before dash cam or cell cams. He said I was doing 75 in a 35 school zone. I told him he was full of it because there was a hill and curve between where he ran me off the road and the school zone. He then proceeded to give me a seatbelt ticket for my passenger.
"Write me a ticket. I'll see your stupid ass in court. I have you, on camera, crossing into my lane. You explain everything to the judge. Including why you committed perjury by falsifying a ticket."
I don’t think you should tell him. Better to just e-mail the clip to the DA with a return receipt and go to court. A good result will be that the you get the report as a sworn statement and you can get the cop for perjury. That means you can get 1 turd off the street. The best result is that the DA misses or ignores the evidence then you charge the cop with perjury and the DA with suborning perjury. Also important to report the attorney to the state BAR. Really the crooked judges aren’t going to give their cronies much of a punishment but if you can get the DA disbarred you can get 2 turds off the street and onto the new careers as Walmart greeters.
All good. But if a DA sees that the situation is unwinnable for the cop. They will drop the charges or get you to plead down to something else. Refuse If the latter. You will get a new court date. And the prosecution will not turn up. Resulting in the charge being dismissed. Its a way the DA have of getting convictions on the spot. You plead down to a minor charge on the day. Therefore evading having to return to court.
These cops must be prosecuted for their criminal acts . This cop knows he is wrong and he knows this person has video of what happened but he still will not accept he is in the wrong !!! Why because he knows he will get away with his criminal actions he will not be held accountable for breaking the law and falsely accusing this man of committing a traffic violation !!! This has to stop and these criminal cops must be held account for their actions !!! If this cop is willing to lie about this how many lives has this criminal cop ruined he can never be trusted again in any prosecution whatsoever he is a criminal cop !!!
