Valhalla Delay, ReaDelay(stock Reaper) most of the time. Have a huge bunch more, including the Audiority one, Fabfilter Timeless, loads of Waves stuff, Variety Of Sound, Echoboy and whatever else is in my collection. Valhalla has this great diffusion I can throw on and all these tasty modes, so it covers most of my needs in dialogue mixes. ReaDelay is as simple but also as flexible as you want it to be.
Im a eventide, newfangled supporter .. I own them all..... And as few Newfangled , to me, theyre generally the most innovative developer ive supported and use.
I love Minimal Audio‘s Cluster Delay,. UVI‘s Dual Delay and sometimes Relayer, Valhalla Delay and Echo Boy are also often my choices… I have an Audiority delay, but haven’t used it yet… I occasionally also use the D 16 Repeater…
Nice list. Will check out some of these for sure . I guess for me the one that really excites me now is the new Timeless 3 by Fabfilter .. has to be the most complex one I’ve used so far . The sheer modulation and creative possibilities of it , is just mind blowing
that audiority crowd delay thing is irreplaceable. I grabbed this a while ago after you reviewed it and it’s magic on all kinds of sources - drums especially
Good choices, also love the d16 delays. Have you tried wavesarts echo cat, I love the way it sounds, it feels and sounds very natural also like the moogerfooger delay plugin similarly 😁
Softube tape echoes is my favourite, I always try to find or create something to use it. Mostly some kind of house stab or vintage keys. It has some great presets in it as well. It fits my music style perfectly. Any way, great video, found a new old hem, Repeater has been in my arsenal for years, but forgot about it.
I have the stock Studio One 6.5 analog delay, Cherry Audio Stardust 201 tape echo, Melda MDelayMB, Soundtoys EchoBoy, possibly some others. And the one I use? The twin delay option on my Relab Development LX480 V4 Dual Engine. Pretty much always this includes Random Hall HD running as stereo split routing. Soundtoys EchoBoy... I've not been able to use it much and get familiar with it. Flu bug. Regardless it's extremely powerful and flexible. Glad I even have gotten it in the full bundle as cheap as I did.
well the Blurred delay, I would guess is a Newfangled Audio delay? (if not maybe an Eventide?) I know you cant answer David, but fun for me to guess anyhow
@@kylebostick2601 so, all you have to do is add some hiss to your stock delay and voila!? In that case, it seems to be some silly expensive snake oil. Optional hiss is always a good thing, imo. Unless there is a very good reason for not to.
I use in 97% of the time Delay2500 from plugin alliance cause it came with a bundle with my soundcard 8 years ago and i still use it everyday on every session. Its like repeater (Cause the 3% left is that one lol that i used in the past) but Delay2500 as a little extra with all its feature like chorus, saturation and even à wah wah thing🤣 so even if i wanna replace it its impossible to do it 100%
I actually do, or better I did. I just forget about it because it doesn't have an AAX (I think?). A client passed me a session for a mix and she was using it all over, that's how I got to now it. Very cool one

The Newfangled audio delay must be great! Can't wait to hear it!

YES on Repeater! Finally gets some love

Some great choices, David.
I got the SSL X-Echo recently, it really is very good.

Nice list. Gonna have to use Repeater more and EC300 is on my list to get! That one you couldn't show suuure looks like Newfangled audio tho 👀
Thanks David! Another great video. You da man

Softube tape echo is amazing except for the fact that you cannot mute the tape hiss :/
Would you rather it sound like a clean stock digital delay though? Like the one in the daw already…?
no i love the sound of the delay itself, but it hisses even when no audio is running through it@@kylebostick2601

It's linked to the "dirt" knob
The Newfangled Delay is due to drop tomorrow January 23 2024
Surreal Machines Dub Machines (Roland RE 201 based on IRs), Overloud Echoson (emulation of Binson Echorec)
And here I am still using Hdelay and psp42. 😂 Old habits die hard I guess!
Surprised not to find Mod Delay on this list - it has a few features that still cannot be found in other delays somehow
🔥🔥🔥
Ohmboyz delay I still love...........
Most used: Native Instruments Replika XT

When i seen repeater was on your list i swear i said YESSS, but i cried à tears for 2500 not being present😢
Arturia Space echo
Soundtoys Echo Boy, boy , boy, boy …..
Did you lose your love for the PSP 285?
No I didn't, I just don't use it as often as the others
I’m guessing NewFangled delay 😅😅
I’m shocked 😮.. no valhalla!?
So no one is using Echobode by sonic charge? Too freaky probably? But not to my liking it isn't. Just freaky enough for an ancient plugin.
