The flags in the wood boxes are casket flags. You will notice they are longer and narrower than standard flags. Usually given to families of those who have served our country.
😂😂😂Free hernia!😂😂😂 So funny! That was an AMAZING yard sale!!! So glad you were able to purchase so much, their prices were definitely reasonable!! Excellent video!!
That was a pretty amazing yard sale and the prices where very good too. I think I would have bought the two cases for the flags, even though one had the broken glass. That fire Hydrant looked crazy heavy, regardless I would have bought it for $50.00! I definitely would have gotten a hernia! 😅 What great finds!
Holy Moly!!! What a haul at this garage sale, and the people were just as super cool as their stuff was!! I bet her Dad is a Hoot! I used to work for a fire protection company, and I got two hydrants that had to be replaced. one was the size you got, and the other was larger. I had them for Years in my back yard, as decoration and finally sold them a couple of years ago on marketplace for $85.00 each. Both went to Fire Fighters. I thought that was interesting.
I would have got that hydrant. A friend of mine made a water feature near his swimming pool Water was pouring out of the hydrant. It looked really cool.
That garage sale was few and far between very nice items the fire hydrant is really cool and I think that piece you were looking at is an old fireman brush axe but very sweet finds I'm a picker myself and this had me excited lol and yes I definitely would have bought the fire hydrant.
Another awesome video Rod. I love how you will step out and take a chance on the out of the norma item. Thats cool. We are headed to an estate sale tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a good one like this one was for you. Love your content, and as you say," keep picking and punching".
I bought a fire hydrant years ago, I took out the left plug, ran a garden hose under the groundand use it to water my plants. When people see me using it, they think it's really hooked up. The lion is not made of copper, but of bronze, if in a pair, 2,000.00 easy, alone..half or less. I guess for me unfortunately, I own many of the same things as at that sale. I'm sure when I pass, my children will sell it for pennies on the dollar, such as they did. My cigar store Indian is 7 and a half feet tall, well over 100 years old. Keep the fire hydrant, and do what I did. Great video young man. Edited: I'm thinking I best have my tag sale, and get the money out of it before my kids do.😉
Yes, I would about the fire hydrant. If I had the money I would buy it from you. My husband is an old volunteer fireman. I say old he 63 but he’s not in the fire department anymore.
That was definitely a rare site seeing all those different items in one spot like that. So much to choose from in this one & im sure someone will want that hydrant eventually lol. Have a great day brother & much ❤❤
I might have bought the fire Hydrant. Sometimes my eyes are bigger than my brain. I picked up a blue toilet on the side of the road for free. Sold it for $200, but it took a year. Worth it? I guess as long as you have the space to store it.
Fire helmets can be a slow mover. Yellow Bullard more slow. $40 /$60. Black ones sell better - closer to $100 at times Be sure to put Retired or Decor in listing. I would have bought the hydrant also.
Why is there never anyone else at the yard sales you go to?? I live in CT. I would be surrounded by other resellers at that sale . Plus none of that stuff would still be there by 9am. I wish I had that much time to peruse and consider. I have to grab and hope or it’s gone.. These videos make me laugh..
There was another guy at this sale when I was there. He even grabbed a couple items that I was looking at. The craziest thing is this was the 2nd day of this sale. I didn’t get there until after 10am too. Normally If you see my community garage sales that I go to. There are a bunch of other people in those videos.
Unfortunately, I did. Normally I would of scooped that up, but this one was damage. There was a rip on the back of it and the back strapped was ripped out of the hat.
Absolutely, we accidentally place it on the ground when we were trying to grab the broken glass that was slipping out. We moved it right off the ground when we realized it. No disrespect meant by it. Thanks for watching!
Wow what an awesome sale!! So happy I am not alone on PTSD Jäegermeister and I can’t even smell licorice because of bad memories and my date with the Porcelain God lmao yuck
It was put down for a minute to stop the broken glass from falling out. We meant no disrespect by it. I immediately removed it when I noticed it. Luckily the comments have been understanding regards it.
Great question. I ended up cutting out this part of the conversation. I wanted to buy them. They are having a professional appraisal company look at them first before they sell them.
At your age and in your shape, I absolutely would have bought the fire hydrant. At 52 and in pitiful shape, probably not! 😂 I don't know, though, for $50, even at fat and 52, I still might have done it....
😂😂 Well at 62 years old I still would buy the fire hydrants all day long at that price. Put them in the ground on your property and and attach heavy ship rope from one to the other like a guard rail. Nice conversational piece!!!! 👍👌
Nope! I would not have bought it.. And I wonder why you would ship it?? Personally, I would have it Picked up.. There were some awesome buys, but he had the hydrent Picked up.. He wasn't going to ship it anywhere.. LOL .

I ended up buying the one flag box just not the one with the broken glass. It was an amazing sale!
Holy Moly!!! What a haul at this garage sale, and the people were just as super cool as their stuff was!! I bet her Dad is a Hoot!

The sale was great, the people were amazing. I didn’t realize how many people had them in their backyards.
Do not let the US Flag touch the floor.
I agree. That’s why I put it back up on the table.
I would have got that hydrant. A friend of mine made a water feature near his swimming pool Water was pouring out of the hydrant. It looked really cool.
That is such a good idea. If I only had a pool….
I think you did awesome!!! Love your finds & your video😊
Thank you!
the prices went up after you told them you were a reseller! some really unusual cool stuff!
I didn’t even care. They were giving me a ton of good deals.
they were true yard salers! motto>get rid of it!!!! 😎
That garage sale was few and far between very nice items the fire hydrant is really cool and I think that piece you were looking at is an old fireman brush axe but very sweet finds I'm a picker myself and this had me excited lol and yes I definitely would have bought the fire hydrant.
Thanks for the info. That would def make sense since they had a bunch of fire fighter stuff there.
Hey Rod, wishing you your wife and Fam a Merry Christmas be safe🎉😊
Thank you! I wish you and your family the same.
I carry a 2 wheel handtruck wherever I go for fire hydrant type finds.
That smart. It’s a lot better than the broke back I got from it, lol.
Another great video, awesome finds. I knew people would come at you for the flag.. 😂😂
It wasn’t done initially. We meant no disrespect by it. We were trying to make sure the broken glass didn’t fall out.
I know you meant no disrespect or malice. I just knew some would HAVE to comment on it happening
Another awesome video Rod. I love how you will step out and take a chance on the out of the norma item. Thats cool. We are headed to an estate sale tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a good one like this one was for you. Love your content, and as you say," keep picking and punching".
Thanks for watching! Good luck at your estate sale.
Your dogs were my first thought when I saw the fire hydrant
I couldn't lift that fire hydrant so would have been a no LOL.
Everyone keeps saying to give it to my dogs, lol
Ohmygawd! I laughed so hard when you made the hernia joke
LOL
Lots of Cool stuff at this sale. Thats my kind of stuff!!!!!👌👍
Your type of sale.
Heck yea, I would buy the fire hydrant ! Nice garage sale, I would have been broke if I was there hahaha. Thanks and take care
Their prices were too good!

That’s a great idea! I may have my dad do that. You should do a tag sale. Make sure those items go to a good home. Thanks for watching.
Yes, I would about the fire hydrant. If I had the money I would buy it from you. My husband is an old volunteer fireman. I say old he 63 but he’s not in the fire department anymore.
would be a great edition to someone who works in that industry.
As soon as you told them you resell the price went up. lol I never tell people that I resell for that reason
They gave me crazy deals. They were super cool about things.
Yep prices def went up
I love the fire hydrant ! Cool pick
Thank you! It’s not often you find one of those.
That was a fun sale! And that gal had the BEST laugh!
They were great people. I love laughing and joking around at sales.
The dogs will love it lmao😅😅😅😅
Everyone wants me to give it to the dogs, lol.
🤣🤣🤣 Holy Shit Batmatman!!! That fire hydrant was heavy as hell huh!?!?!😂😂😂
You aren’t lying! That thing must of been 150-200 pounds. It felt like 500 when I lifted it 😂
That was definitely a rare site seeing all those different items in one spot like that. So much to choose from in this one & im sure someone will want that hydrant eventually lol. Have a great day brother & much ❤❤
It was a crazy sale. The crazy thing was that it was the second day of the sale. I can’t imagine what kind of items they had on day one.
I might have bought the fire Hydrant. Sometimes my eyes are bigger than my brain. I picked up a blue toilet on the side of the road for free. Sold it for $200, but it took a year. Worth it? I guess as long as you have the space to store it.
It’s just the fact of moving it around and it’s so damn heavy.
A few times made me laugh I love it
Would def got the fire 300 pound hydrant
I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
You can incorporate the fire hydrant in your work out routine. I would've passed on it.
Haha! I got enough working out carrying that thing to my truck.
I wouldn't have gotten the hydrant, but love everything else!!
It’s a tough call. I think a lot of people would have left it behind because they couldn’t lift it.
I would have bought the hydrant!! I have one!
I have one too now! 😂
Fire helmets can be a slow mover. Yellow Bullard more slow. $40 /$60. Black ones sell better - closer to $100 at times Be sure to put Retired or Decor in listing. I would have bought the hydrant also.
Great info! Thank you.
🤣fire hydrant definite Nooo! I love the other stuff.
I know…ugh! Lol
Retired from fire dept. gave up looking for a hydrant years ago
They are def hard to come by. First time finding one at a sale.
i would have bought it! some would think i wasn’t ‘all there’ tho😂
😂😂😂
Rod i want that fsu hat .. is it listed yet?
Sorry, some guy who flips from the trailer bought it.
No guitars? No thank you. But the wooden Indians were a gold mine. Worth more than the fire hydrant. Good pick all around Rod.
They def had some value. They wanted to wait to talk to the appraiser before they sell those.
Hydrant is cool ,
It really is. I just wish it wasn’t so heavy! 😂🤦🏼♂️
Lol you can tell how old a flag is by the number of stars
Yeah don't worry i only know that from watching Antiques Roadshow 😮
That one way. You also use the tag of the company that made them.
8:35 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hahaha!
That was just hilarious.
🤷♂️😂
I loved this garage sale
It was the coolest collection of items.
Someone who decorates with pop-art type items will want that hydrant. Sell it locally.
Yea, I def agree. I just wish it wasn’t so heavy! 😂🤦🏼♂️
I would have bought the Fire hydrant in a heartbeat for $50.00. Here where I live Fire Hydrants go for $200.00 every day of the week.
I know it was a great deal. It’s just big and super heavy!
WOW! What a yard sale.
Crazy sale! What is even crazier is that was the 2nd day of the sale and I got there around 10:30am. I wonder what other good items they had.
@@pickingandpunching I thought I had heard it was a second day, CRAZY!!!!!
I think it is a log roller.
👍

In high school i would have made a bong out of that hydrant😅😅😅
Hahaha!
🤣🤣🥳🍻
Did you leave a shark tooth cap at that sale?
Unfortunately, I did. Normally I would of scooped that up, but this one was damage. There was a rip on the back of it and the back strapped was ripped out of the hat.
@@pickingandpunching oh OK.... was going to say Art and commonwealth would have killed you for missing it 🤣
I guess I’m going to have to get after my family to pass the word out better, I wanted to get you to 15k by the end of the year. 😅
Love it! We will be hitting 11k any day now. The channel has come a long way this year. Thank you for your continued support.
Fire hydrant needs to be in your house
Everyone keeps saying that, lol
I love your Volgs Do me one favor please don’t place flags on the ground. Thanks for your hard work on the Volgs.
Absolutely, we accidentally place it on the ground when we were trying to grab the broken glass that was slipping out. We moved it right off the ground when we realized it. No disrespect meant by it. Thanks for watching!
All the shot glasses will stand on their heads to pour the whiskey in ,at ten you got a deal
I def did! Thanks for watching!
Wow what an awesome sale!!
So happy I am not alone on PTSD Jäegermeister and I can’t even smell licorice because of bad memories and my date with the Porcelain God lmao yuck
Lol, glad that I’m not the only one.
I threw up in the shower once and the shower had a metal floor, that shit stained it!!
I know it was an accident but when I saw the flag on the ground I thought “oh no, people are gonna freak out in the comments”😂
It was put down for a minute to stop the broken glass from falling out. We meant no disrespect by it. I immediately removed it when I noticed it. Luckily the comments have been understanding regards it.
Why the heck didn’t you buy the cigar indians???
Great question. I ended up cutting out this part of the conversation. I wanted to buy them. They are having a professional appraisal company look at them first before they sell them.
I would have left the hydrant, offered him 90 for the charger.
👍
At your age and in your shape, I absolutely would have bought the fire hydrant. At 52 and in pitiful shape, probably not! 😂 I don't know, though, for $50, even at fat and 52, I still might have done it....
😂 one of the best responses of the day. That $50 price tag is so intriguing!
😂😂 Well at 62 years old I still would buy the fire hydrants all day long at that price. Put them in the ground on your property and and attach heavy ship rope from one to the other like a guard rail. Nice conversational piece!!!! 👍👌

“Holy shiii”
My back still hurts from that fire hydrant, lol
@@pickingandpunching you can tell they’re nothing light to handle🤣
@@nlreactz that’s an understatement
This old dude would have bought it because it's cool and he don't have one and then wondered why did he buy the damn thing.
😂😂😂
Very interesting finds, all you needed were to find some pants. 😊 and no anout the fire hydrant too heavy for me 😂
We found everything but the kitchen sink! 😂
Hard pass up great deals even though you trying to down size
I know, lol. It’s a vicious cycle 🤷♂️
😂😂 i installed fire hydants for 5 years. We usually use the bucket of a back hoe to lift it
I know why after lifting this bad boy into my truck, lol.
