Rooting for hans the psychopath? Why? His interview with Levy exposed him as one. He’s nuts.🐿 You don’t believe me? Ask Magnus or Hikaru. Gatekeepers of chess currently- no one is above them. No one.
One of the great things to do and often you do it is to explain the difference between obscure machine lines on the eval bar and real play. There are times when evaluation claims ? But it’s only if opponents find bizarre line. It’s good to know
100% agree with this. I've seen many games where magnus moves an unintuitive rook to free up the 1/8 rank for bishop or Queen while keeping rooks connected. Levi did a video on a game in a European cup about 7 months ago where magnus did this against a 2500GM.
Sometimes you don’t have enough time and tempos are critical- other times you don’t want to commit, and so tempos are actually unhelpful. That’s why “waiting moves” exist- so that you get to commit after your opponent…
I like your game reviews. A couple of things: shorten the videos and try to pick a few spots to put emphasis in the game. When the entire game is reviewed in a “down to the wire” tonality, it can wear the listener out. Good luck and I appreciate your passion for chess.
I like your video review. A couple of things: Never give unsolicited advice, especially to a content creator when I don't see any videos you have created, therefore giving you no authority to comment on the situation.
You do know that chess is a game of the mind, right? Everything is open. Nothing is hidden. The consequences derive from a player's inability to calculate and evaluate X moves into the future. Chess is not a gladiatorial blood festival with slo-mo replays of gushing blood and eviscera like a Zack Snyder movie. 'Cause if you do, keep it up! Love your takes and observations.
Chess doesn't need a wrecking ball. It needs young players who respect the game and the players who came before. I hooe Hans loses a game to a 13yo during the tournament.
Not a fan of Hans. The guy seems to be a bit of a sociopath. He always reminds me of Commodus in the movie Gladiator, he even looks a little like him. Of all the young players, he's my least favourite one.
Are you guys rooting for Magnus Carlsen or Hans Niemann in the big tournament starting tomorrow - the World Rapid & Blitz Championships??
"rook on b4 square" should be "knight on b4 square". I don't know if you can annotate after upload

Bro annotations been gone for a while @@Timberius
People root for Hans Niemann?
@@keenanvil yeah there are crazy people everywhere🤣

Merry Xmas from Sweden!
I believe Rd8 was clearing c8 for the Q. Magnus was likely targeting the a6 pawn all along.

The queen move was D file support and plan for e4
Brooo, you have disappeared for a long break!! Hope everything is good with you sir!! Merry Christmas

Made my heart full to see this
Maybe he moved the rook to d8 before f8 because he had to see what road white planned.
He goes rook d8 because if he chooses to go Knight b8 to attack the pawn, he won't trap his rook in the corner
Looks like Magnus is just trying to unplug the centre pawns
Magnus Carlson, the real deal.
The extra move probably to force Hans to make move

@@JeremyNunn444 Technically I think Dr. Mike solicits viewer opinions in many of his videos
Magus is just centralizing
Why would Magnus respect Hans? Hans has spent his entire career writing checks he cannot cover.

Waiting move. He hasn’t decided his course yet.

Honeymoon with Hans over? Did you lose respect for him after the speed chess championship?

Magnus.
Rd8 was to support d7 pawn push. When Hans pushed the h pawn Magnus decided to double the rooks instead
Team Hans.... Is that even a thing?
