There are lovers and haters of artificial flowers. I am a lover of these beautiful florals. If you don't have a big cutting garden or cannot afford to buy fresh flowers, what can you do? The artificial ones have improved so much over the years. I even take mine outside and rinse off with the hose when they get a little too dusty. You can't deny the beauty of these gorgeous "flowers". Thank you for your nice video.
😅add ribbons to glass vases, and tassels draped to add additional zing...gold twist sticks and bamboo sticks for larger arrangements.Simple greenery is good also, Filler, pillar and spiller !!!
You are SO generous with your knowledge and creativity! I plan on trying your recipes for the 'high-end wood finishes too. You blu my mind when you said that "chalk paint is the devil.!! Im not ready to throw it out , but again your wealth of information is so helpful. Thanks, Shannon!
You hit all the good tips! I haven’t been able to be in a store for over a year and managed to buy gorgeous florals online at Target and JoAnn’s and Home Depot. Like you said, all you need is to measure and have a reputable seller. I’m with you on roses. Nothing really realistic yet. But I’ve got great hydrangeas, wisteria, always tulips, forsythia, eucalyptus, lavender and lambs ear. Mixing them with yard greenery does help ramp up the realness factor. Good job! 🥰
Geesh. She's doing a video for demonstration. Pretty sure with common sense a person would remove the stickers or tag after they have created their design.
Plastic flowers are one of the worst inventions, they are bad for the environment, and they don't create the same aroma, brightness or mood for the wedding like real flowers. You can choose flowers without allergens too.
I work exclusively predominately doing high end wedding flower arrangements and decor using faux, dried/preserved, and Sola wood flowers. I just had your channel pop up in my feed and I am so glad it did! I just subscribed because your too of going to ez flowery, alone just helped me so much! Thank you! I am always looking for new owner vendors and already checked out their site! ( : My ultimate goal, as well, is to always make my faux flowers look real. (: Thank you again for the tips on good flower finds (eBay seller). I have never used this vendor before) but I plan on ordering some of their white roses to see what they look like in person. ( : I also add real preserved dried flowers, real preserved baby's breath, and real preserved greenery pieces, which adds sooo much realism to my pieces! ( : I add tons of eucalyptus to my bouquets and arrangements! ( :
That’s awesome to hear! One of my viewers of this video told me about house of floral on Etsy and their stuff is amazing, I bought a bunch and plan to do a video on it soon.
Love Your Channel! You Explain So Much In Simplistic Ways That Really Make Us Imagine We Can Easily Accomplish Anything! YAY! Thanks For Sharing Your Knowledge On This Particular Subject!
With real hydrangeas the trick is to use the hottest tap water as you can get from your faucet. Trim the ends of your hydrangea and then put them in the hot water. Most woody plants like even roses work well this way. About every 3 to 5 days repeat- your stems will get shorter, but the flowers last quite a while
Thanks so much for the real touch flower knowledge..didn’t know they existed. We have no Hobby Lobby, no Michaels, no Joanne, no pottery barn here in Honolulu. We only have one small craft store. Even our Lowes is mostly building materials..so we don’t get to see what’s available.
Thanks for this video! I am planning on putting my house on the market soon and faux flowers are something I am lacking. Also greenery. Can’t wait to go shopping!
Just discovered your Channel a few days ago. There’s so many things I love and have learned from you so far. Love your view on looking at furniture trends and what sells. Also so happy not to see lots and lots Dixie bell and actually have recommendation for products I can go to the store and buy. Love your unique and on tend style!
I don't sell furniture but I love faux flowers in general! Had no idea Lowe's sold them! I may have to make another trip there! I love that combo of Eucalyptus and Hydrangeas! I am going to have to do that!
If you have been to the rose garden in Oregon there are roses for as far as you can see. Many of these roses are huge blooms even a little larger than those you were looking at.
Thanks for your video. Absolutely agree with you that some flowers are out of proportion. Roses are never that big and cannot understand why anybody would buy them. I find succulents at Michael's are very real looking but they also have a price!!Just subscribed and looking forward to your videos.
If you want floral like you see at Ethan Allen but at Hobby Lobby or lower prices check out HouseFloral on Etsy. And no, I'm in no way affiliated with them but I did place several orders for multiple items after an initial order to check them out. They had things that I have never seen elsewhere. I'm a fan!
I’m from Texas where the beautiful bluebonnet graces the landscape in spring. I’ve looked and looked for silk bluebonnets and the only time I ever found them, they didn’t look like them. Why hasn’t any company made them and above all, made them realist? All other silk flowers are believable.
Great helpful video! I have a quick question for you. What kind of flooring do you have shown in this video? I really love the natural look and I’m in the market for new flooring. Thanks a bunch!
I love it too, but unfortunately it’s just old dark wood flooring I bought off fb marketplace and flipped over on it’s back just for my furniture staging area. It has no sealant or anything on it since it’s the underside. I have thought to myself though, I wonder if it could work as real flooring?! 🤔
What is the website for “michaels” please as I am in the uk but have a friend in the us who can send me flowers and I loveeeeeee the selection and your flowers 😍😍
Yes please in the Amazon store link but also do you have a public Amazon wish list. I feel like you have shared so much and entertained me as well. I feel like I should at least buy you a can of paint. Lol.
Haha! Just watching my videos is the greatest thing you can do ❤️ if you shop through my link I receive commission My Amazon favorites (I recieve a commission when you buy through this link 😊 ) Check out this page from Black Sheep House www.amazon.com/shop/blacksheephouse?ref=inf_own_blacksheephouse
I always love your tips and appreciate you for always sharing ..Which brings me to this question haha. ..Is There Any Way you Could literally Walk Us thru Editing with phone with Showing Us which icon Is for what etc..like a split screen...I am In desperate Need of help with this..Maybe do a Tutorial...Thanks honey😊🙏❣️
First time here. Love your floral arrangements, esp in baskets in front of your beautiful dresser! Curious, what tool do you use to cut the faux thick wire stems? I tried with my Cutco scissors but still difficult to slice. Thank you!
JD Designs owner, called Jennifer Designs recommends a cutter. I am in South Africa but remembered seeing her faux floral tutorials. Hop it helps you decide. Safety glasses a good caution too.
I know it looks more realistic when they’re willing, but it just hurts my heart too much 😭 they are so much prettier standing up they look kinda messy or sad wilting over 🥺🥺🥺
There is nothing like the real thing. If you want to spend money on one thing make it fresh flowers. A little research leads you to long lasting types. Even a clever imitation is a disappointment to me. Grow your own if you have a couple square feet of dirt! Snapdragons are beautiful, hardy and come in a profusion of colors. Support your corner store. A bouquet costs no more than a fancy cocktail.💕💕💕
hello......firstly it's pAmpus grass, not pOmpus grass. Secondly, if you know what to do, you can make fresh hydrangea last a few weeks (not a short time). And finally let's agree to call artificial flower just that on not fake!

Great tips! Thank you. One idea would be to remove the sticker on the bottom of glass jars. Its very noticeable and draws the eye. 😉
lol
I need to do that too!! I even leave the tags on the faux flowers ha!

Allison! I am just discovering this thanks to you and another comment ❤️👏👏 I’m so happy!
I had tulips people thought they were real loved them.
Love the basket tip! I'm so glad I checked it out 💕🍄🌺
I used to do a lot of flower designs. The cost of faux flowers are crazy high now a days.

Camouflaging the fake stems with real twigs is genius!

Lol. It’s pAmpas not pOmpas !! I’m fixing the Americans pronunciation one by one 🤣🤣🤣🤣
More stuff from China.
Pretty. Nice tips. Please practice vwah-lah...not wah-lah. It is a vw pronounced together sound.
It’s pampas grass
