I have come to celebrate new years at Ostara the Spring Equinox because it's the start of the zodiac wheel with aries which represents new beginnings, initiation, and the infantile stage as well as pisces ending, which represents death, conclusions and making connections. Cailleach is an amazing goddess. She's the Grandmother of the Clans, the mother of creation in the Scots pantheon, she herself is a witch and is the goddess of not only winter as stated in the video but also magick and as I mentioned creation. She has very strong connections to the legend of Black Annis and is quite a dark goddess when compared to others that are more popular, but of course that doesn't mean she's bad. Also great attempt at pronunciation, took me ages to figure it out lol
When you bring your crystal back in to your alter, do you continue to cleanse/ charge it as you usually would or do you leave it for the rest of the year?? 🙏💕

For the deities, what if you don’t necessarily follow them I guess? or don’t know many deities but would like to have them in this. Do you need to have a bond first or can you just choose some that fits your needs? I personally have just started getting interested into Wicca and deities but don’t know necessarily how the deity thing actually works, so I was just wondering :)

All those herbs and spices sound lovely to add into a bread. Maybe place all of those into dough and while kneading say the words of the spell...

You would just change it up for your time of year and call gods and goddesses accordingly

I think you can just call upon the idea of the goddess in general (great mother, the earth, etc) or the elements!
