Good to see you making videos again...channel name change taken care of the conflict with that other channel? I've sold my 2013 Bonneville Steve McQueen bike a year ago and got a '54 MSS Velocette 500 single (I imported it to Canada from Liverpool) to park along side my '74 Commando. Must say the Velo has won my heart for the time being, the Commando has had pretty light duty this season. Obviously at 24 BHP, the Velo cannot match the 850 Commando for power, but it does go so nicely, handling is at least as good, maybe better. Something to do with the lower CofG and excellent steering head angle I bet. Fun fact...Veloce, the family run company that made Velocettes, were the first to ever develop the positive stop foot operated gear change....something which modern bikes all use of course.
Hi mate awesome to hear from you n yep no more hassle with the whole Norton thing n no more confusion :) n they ultimately lost a potential purchaser who you cut in half n it says Norton lol, all nice n quiet which has been nice I renamed my other one to adaptableadventurerider to focus on the BMW 1150 GSA n adventures with dad. That sounds truly awesome on the Velo a friend of mine had a venom the mss is such a stunning beautiful piece of engineering. Should be quite a bit of progress soon coming video wise on the Commando an WD16H an after we have finished moving down to Somerset I’ll be back out on the flat tanker all action at the moment
Hello mate! I have the same bike--650ss, wideline featherbed, bought in Stockwell in 1971. Just one request: take her off that stupid car highway and show her stuff on a real bike lane!
If you watch the clip a bit more mate I go up the iconic cat a fiddle on her :) unfortunately you have to go down the bypass to get to the good stuff There’s another video on the channel about all the riding I’ve done on the 650ss as a daily rider for 4 years and 4 winters so much fun! Through winter conditions Peak District rides and all sorts thanks for taking the time to comment :)
