ARM and NVIDIA do NOT manufacture chips. They design them, and TSMC and Samsung manufacture them.
ARM only licenses basic designs of chips. It's then up to whatever company, like Tesla, to use the initial design and modify it to their needs and get their unique design produced. It's still a big difference with Nvidia because nobody but Nvidia changes the design of their chips. Another reason companies are investing in RISC-V since it's an open source architecture and cannot be claimed by anyone by simply buying a company.

Ryan hope things are going well, I am scheduled to receive my Model 3 this month but saw another reason for holding me back. Outside of out of warranty work costs (expensive) I also saw videos on expensive dent repair using PDR due to aluminum repairs. Do you see both of these issues getting better in costs? Thank you

Sorry Ryan, and maybe it was pointed already, but you are misunderstanding was ARM do. They don't produce any chips and other companies license part of their technology to build their own chips, mostly the CPU part. Companies like Apple, Qualcomm or Samsung LSI have a lot of their own technology in their application processors. If ARM gets locked to them, they can take over, and ARM would lose all its value.

On the Tesla bot have you forgotten the university professor that already made reference to the robotics. Remember his university had a reputation for robotic development the fact he subsequently went very quiet is similar to previous battery revelations and accelerated development.
Giga Texas also has enormous space and land that can easily be developed into a lab for the robotics, without need to use space in the main factory, until,integration is needed.

Here's a use of Starship which synergizes with virtual powerplant and autobidder that I just thought of: Power Relay satellites! If a folding mechanism can be made hyper-efficient, then power could be transferred from one earth site to another via microwave beams. If the ground antennas are located next to solar and wind farms and Tesla Megapack sites, then power could be moved around the country, with Autobidder determining the best way to do this to maximize profits!
Maybe not super-important, but just for the record, it’s a bit of a stretch to describe Arm as “one of the largest chip suppliers.”
As far as I know at least, when it comes to hardware, Arm sells only *designs* of various sorts, that their customers combine with their own or other companies’ “IP” (designs), to create a full-chip design, which is then manufactured by TSMC, Samsung, Global Foundries, or other “fabs.”
So, Arm is two steps away from supplying actual, physical chips. That, again as far as I know, speaking as a Computer-Design engineer.
Oh, and it’s generally pronounced “Arm,” like the body part.

ARM does not produce chips but license it's technology to others. One of the big reason it is in almost everything is because ARM does not directly complete with any other manufacturer. This ends if NIVIDA acquirers ARM. This is a threat any company that license ARM, almost everybody, and will cost billions to develop a competing technology like RISC-V.

Once Tesla cracks that FSD nut and achieves level 5 capability, money for other things Elon dreams of will be attainable massively. FSD may happen in 2022 early if Dojo gets enough compute power to solve it and no more setbacks, should easily have solved it by early 2023 at worst.Tesla Bots, i would recommend Elon buy Boston Dynamics so they can marry their actuator sablization skills with Dojo compute power.Then maybe i'll see these Bots in my life time.2035 at best, 2045 more realistic.Have it coincide with Ray Kurzweil's singularity prediction.
