I dig the fact he didn't use the 'generic' dubstep sound that everyone is busting out at the moment. The shorter and more minimal bass drops give this a really nice unique feel. Its less intense yet still has energy...not an easy thing to pull off. Thumbs up Rout...you get a golf clap from me sir.
Rou's style is different.... That's why I like it... Instead of the obvious heavy drops and stuff he puts a different I think more 'calm' take on it... and I love it!
@Highification All the brass synths from the original track were programmed in on the Electribe, and the reverse brass sounds in the bridge, but other than that I personally can't hear anything else from it in this remix. I'm positive that the main basslines were produced with Native Instrument's Massive VST though.
@shift123 didn't say they started dubstep, im well aware it's been around for a long time, just meant that they helped get a lot more interest into the genre :)
@ReeceGGL I'll think you find that dubstep was still really big then but still I totally, I keep my music tastes 110% open and shikari makes me proud to be musical diverse and well it just very british music! :)
@@shikarifox4337 wow 10 years ago, jeez, I feel old, they played this as they came out on stage like at the start of the show, singer doing his thing doing with live vocals and working the crowd into a frenzy while the rest of the band getting set up and ready for the show, it was ages ago, but i still remember the energy, at the end of this they went straight into sorry you're not a winner and shit got next level
This just sits in between mellow and hardcore and thus doesn't leave me with any sort of real feeling for it. Doesn't chill you out and doesn't leave you feeling "Wow, that was intense." It's just very average.
@Greaseh haha I remember when he was Routron etc, and I loved the original Enter Shikaris songs, they went a bit shitty when they were re recorded for the take to the skies album though but still liked them either way
@shluke well no it's very fair to say you like enter shikari but not dubstep, i mean it's not just dubstep they put in there, they chuck a bit of trance, a bit of house, at times a bit of DnB, and yeah of course a bit of dubstep into their songs. and i'm pretty sure ES aren't all that into genre boundaries. you don't have to stick to genres. I know people who don't like hardcore or heavy music but still like ES. genres mean nothing.
I'm so glad they do their own quality remixes instead of a 12 year old with base booster.
there is no better band in the whole world ryt now then ENTER SHIKARI
Andy sc3ne I'm still listening to this song years later bro :)
This is such a good remix. One of my favourite remixes ever.
why only 80k likes on it !!!!!!!

Song is so underrated it hurts 😢
SAME 🙌
I've listened to this for days and days straight

this needs a love button. as good as the original, if not better!
goddaymn Rou is so talented.
@Bootstrap193 Enter Shikari can make everything awesome. I would like to see them try that style!!
At first I didn't think this was all that.... but now i can't get it out of my head. You've done it again Rou.
Awesome video and song, though long "intro" or should i say "start". No dissrespect at all, love you guys!
the. best. remix. ever.
This needs more views...NOW!

yes rou keeping it old schoool!!
@shift123 didn't say they started dubstep, im well aware it's been around for a long time, just meant that they helped get a lot more interest into the genre :)

@ReeceGGL dubstep blew up before common dreadscame out , but they do deserve more credit for what they have contributed to music as a whole

@ReeceGGL I'll think you find that dubstep was still really big then but still I totally, I keep my music tastes 110% open and shikari makes me proud to be musical diverse and well it just very british music! :)

@@shikarifox4337 wow 10 years ago, jeez, I feel old, they played this as they came out on stage like at the start of the show, singer doing his thing doing with live vocals and working the crowd into a frenzy while the rest of the band getting set up and ready for the show, it was ages ago, but i still remember the energy, at the end of this they went straight into sorry you're not a winner and shit got next level
very well done :)
@ReeceGGL But dubstep was around long before then and they weren't the first to have strong electronic elements in "Rock" music
SO GOOD.
I seriously think Enter Shikari should do a remix album, thatd be amazing
@paintingflowersforyu best day of my life, even if it was only 20 minute sets. America doesnt get those hour long festivals though, sucks...
personal for me it's the best remix of their own song they've made
such an awsome remix!!! very chilled
@36hunters it was released ages ago...
это круто кстате ребята роут молодчик!!
sounds good ^^
brilliant remix, love both versions
ABOUT BLOODY TIME
This just sits in between mellow and hardcore and thus doesn't leave me with any sort of real feeling for it. Doesn't chill you out and doesn't leave you feeling "Wow, that was intense." It's just very average.
I can not wait for their new album!
Awesome remix.
Sublime beats my man! Dubstep par excellence! 20/10
that judderman... dont know who is him or it..but i like the video edit..
@Scynthor i guess that would be bassstep? gotta love the three s's. Just like in Sssnakepit... hmm...
so good //
@Greaseh haha I remember when he was Routron etc, and I loved the original Enter Shikaris songs, they went a bit shitty when they were re recorded for the take to the skies album though but still liked them either way
@vengyy no, drumstep is half the tempo of drum & bass, i wanted to know what double the tempo of dubstep was.
I've been waiting for this since your vloggities!!
i expected a little more umffff but nether the less it was still good. a pretty mellow remix.
very nice if youre relaxing to some laidback dubstep
awesome, but the work that the VJ did was awesome too. (yes I said vj, not dj)
Great new track! Sounds different from your other stuff!
AWSOME.
i feel like this would be a good video to which while you were high.
This is awesome!! But I'm still waiting for a hardstyle remix from a song!! :D See y'all in october!
Fuck yes! This remix is rad AF
@ReeceGGL very true, they used dubstep back before i even knew what dubstep was. then i got into it and i was like... wait a second..
Please could you upload the Quelle Surpise (Rout Remix) You used in in the tour teaser video! But please theres no version up!
This is just too fucking good, can stop listening to it.
This is absolutly insane, holy shit
amazing
@luljackson How can you possibly appreciate 1.45 properly if you haven't listened to the beginning of the song first?
HOF ("in-house") remix there, ROUT is a goddamn production legend
@Scynthor Dubstep generally tends to be around 140BPM
I Like music like that =) Very cool)
When this drops at Reading sunday night as part of the ESS set I am thoroughly going to lose my shit. multiple times. everywharrr.
Quelle Surprise Rout VIP please.
Bout time Rout.
@LeVaughnX dude its not like enter shikari are the ones that remixed it its clearly a ROUT remix. and itws not a generic dubstep its very different
@cunnerzzz Blue bear remixed Destabilise? Wheres that at?
VERY NICE!
ITS OUT!!!!!
nice nice nice nice!
@shluke well no it's very fair to say you like enter shikari but not dubstep, i mean it's not just dubstep they put in there, they chuck a bit of trance, a bit of house, at times a bit of DnB, and yeah of course a bit of dubstep into their songs. and i'm pretty sure ES aren't all that into genre boundaries. you don't have to stick to genres. i almost callled the bit at the end drum & bass... then i remembered its too slow... whats the name of music half the tempo of dubstep?
brilliant
this is fucking awsome stuff
@LeVaughnX how does it make them generic if someone has remixed one of their songs?
finally!
superb
@Scynthor maybe you mean drumstep? i'm not very good with genres though :)
@ReeceGGL you sir have no clue about when dubstep came about then.
