For me personally, I remember feeling pretty let down by the "rat" meta of the TI. While there were some nail biting game-enders, it was missing the incredible teamfights and giant ults of previous and future TIs that were so exciting to watch. I remember just walking away feeling dissapointed that Alliance won off the back of backdooring through most matches. And that kind of bled into pub games afterwards which was no fun too. Nonstop SS, NP, and zoo heroes with necronomicon just made ladder kind of unfun.
I agree that TI3 is the best finals for me, TI 8 and TI 10 is close, but TI 3 really showed what DOTA is about, the objective of it, people were a bit salty with alliance as they said they won with pushing, but IT IS what the game is all about. I loved the moment when the casters said "Alliance outmaneuvering Na'Vi!"
Agree! TI 3 was the best TI ever in the history of Dota 2. I remember watching this nail biting match! Almost fell off my seat when Dendi was caught by Puck dream coil.
i doubt this is the best TI finals. game 1 was a flop early GG , game 2 was basically the same just too much stomp. TI8 started with OG winning game 1 then countered and reversed 1-2 then reverse sweep 3-2 with crazy comebacks and team fights. TI10 too. starts with what looked like a clean sweep from TeamSpirit but then LGD got 2 consecutive games but lost the match point 3-2 was hype af but unfortunately doesn't translate with the crowd because covid.
they could have won in the first push, there was no way ck furion and wisp could push two lanes faster than 5 heros in mid.. If they had kept pushing mid, alliance would have been forced to return to defend, The only thing the Batrider had to do in the whole game was blink when they were 5 VS 2 and either kill the Puck or even the cm to stop the splitpush or win the game.. but between him and the useless enigma they lost that game in the worst way possible.. alliance won the final game because Navi play so bad, batrider alchemist rubick enigma and a feed TA against the 2 most squishy heros in dota and they somehow decide to tp back are you kidding me? puppey & kuroky too much iq for their own good.. 😂
@@kyoden1928 Did you watch that grand finals? The games went back and fourth actually and Na'Vi was looking strong in game 5 with dendi owning with his TA.

Ti3 was arguably the best finals but Ti9 comes very close just because OG showed everyone how dota should be played.
Ti9 final was too one-sided tbf.
