Seeing as the 'Demi Lovato Spotlight Vocal Showcase' was taken down...here is Selena's range. I still love her very much. Her voice is so sweet and unique. Those live C#5's... a few years ago they sounded so light. She has improved so much. Can't wait fot the next album.

I’m pretty sure she has hit an A2 before. Tbh if we’re going to take a 100% real vocal range i would say
A2-F#5-C#6. The G5 was very shouty and would not count it the A5 was completely auto tuned and just I would not count it. I don’t think she is bad I think her voice is quite soothing. I like her low notes and lower belts like her A4s-B4s after that you can tell some of those notes are hard for her. She is not bad but she is not nearly as good as a singer like Demi or Ari

The G5 counts because it was on key and intentional unlike the G#6 which wasn't intentionally sung. The A5 counts as she sung it and it was on key as she mixed some F#5s right before it. All of her vocals are auto tuned though that goes for most singers.

I think she is more mezzo than alto. Because it's not only comfortable but also where it has a pleasant texture. And the lows just don't have enough texture, they sound good but a little pressed and breathy.

Depends on the weight of your voice, what notes are most supported, where your voice is comfortable, timbre, etc. But all voice types have the potential to hit overlapping notes; the modes of hitting each note is different though as some voice types transition sooner or later than others. Unless you're in opera it doesn't really matter. What matters more is feeling for what hurts and where your voice is resonating.
