I put a black bungee on the gate from the bottom which makes the gate drop faster, it was an honor to watch you're race from 3rd turn at grands sir keep it up
Just used my gate today for the first time to get some sprints in. First gate didn't drop went over the bars 😂 minor adjustments and it was dialed. Def need some grip tape also. Thanks for the vid
Great information as always. I’m using a Freshpark gate with the Yellowcat timing system installed. It’s helped me tremendously on race days at the track 👍❗️❗️❗️
We just got our Freshpark gate set up and started practicing tonight. Great timing on this video. My kid is working on better starts and this should help him tremendously
I just got a fresh park gate and I put the lever as close as I could to my tire and I flipped it. But the fresh park gate is the best thing ever know that I know how to use it.
Just got mine today. I know I’m late to the party but at least I showed up lol. Had to rewatch this video cause I had an extra plate. Wanted to see yours but I see it sitting on the bench when you finished. For locking it folded up maybe? Nevermind…..read the rest of the instructions 😅
My 15 year old just let me know that he went ahead and just bought one. When it arrives and we assemble it, and we, along with his racing buddies, will be looking for a covered parking lot. The snow we currently have on the ground, unusual here for Victoria, B.C., sucks.
Got my gate a couple months ago and it’s super easy to use. I even bring it to the track to set up. I personal put grip tape on the front gate to help stabilize the front wheel as well
Don’t forget to fix your FreshPark with a YellowCat BMX starting system. Makes any stumpy gate ( even the FreshPark ) into a REAL starting system. Get yours today. No more flipping the gate. 👍👍 Barry has one.
I did the same thing with the instructions😂 sat there and thought I was going crazy. So I build it by looking at the picture on the box. Then I was cleaning up and saw the little sticker on the box😂🤦🏽♂️
You aint kidding!!! just built mine an hour ago,,, its tried to kill me twice already,, before i put the grip tape almost slid down and fell over the gate,,,, then after about 10 test tries, i must have not pulled back on one, and flipped over the gate,,, thank god i had my helmet on, hit forhead first,,, then the dam bike came over and the rear axle bolt hit me right where my ear would have been !!!!! lol Crap!!!!!!

nice! I want to take mine to the track soon as well
Cool starting gate
I put grip tape on mine also. I slipped a cleat shoe one evening getting up on it, so I decided to add a strips along the sides.
I actually raced on a track like that back in 1978! Homestead Bmx way down in S Florida.

I got the same bmx gate today for Christmas and I’m trying to learn how to pull it back so it can go down!😂
Add the yellow cat system!
Looks a lot like the "Trip Gate" I developed with Bill Madden like 25 years ago. Cool.
Awesome bro

Dude you should check out the Finlay gate. FinlayGateSolutions on Facebook. They are very similar but use the iGate system for full electronic starts.
