In 2009, I was a boy, I met a girl via chat, more than 1000 km away... we formed a very strong and very sweet bond by talking to each other for more than a year... @@日本語大好き They re-recorded the song with the singer singing in English instead of Japanese. It’s on the official Your Name soundtrack album. They re-recorded multiple of their songs from Kimi no na wa and weathering with you in English.

I said this on your original version and I'll say it here - this is the best english-version of this song. Everyone else wants to do a direct translation which doesn't work most of the time, it's better to go for the "essence" of the song but then convey that in the way that works best for the language being spoken - which is what you have done here. Overall it simply connects better with, in this case, english speaking listeners.
