Someone who was banned from the award ceremony came over and then resisted arrest. They didn't know if he had weapons on him (and I'm assuming that's why he got banned in the first place) so for the safety of everyone else there, they had to shut it down on the last day; cancelling the award ceremony.

Hey bijuu mike, I knew about the glitch since the game realised and ima explain how it work.
First; the reason why the glitch happens is because when you close the arcade game it let's you normally walk but if you go to the stage it makes sure you don't move but when you close it the arcade game it makes you move,
Second; back then when the game was realesed you were able to go back stage and here's everything behind it
A bunch of scrabbled characters (even 2 unused ones) and the void (the void respawns you BY MAKING YOU REJOIN) and there's actually a dancing banana down there (dk why) and theres a platform down the void (the platform is used for testing animations)
That's all I know about the glitch
