i think more than being outright scary, junji ito's work is just very unsettling and creepy. my favourite works of his are the human chair (which is based on a book that's just so creepy), the enigma of amigara fault, and uzumaki.

Actually I’ve just finished ninth house! It was rewarding because I was reading for a while, but I’m planning on reading a torch against the night and hopefully my copy of book lovers arrives soon because I need it ASAP

@@katieisreading it was pretty fun and I loved the vibes. people say the first 200 and so pages are super boring but I don't share the same opinion. it wasn't as interesting as the later part of the book but still enjoyable
