raw unflavored geleatin is actualy just collagen and such which is extracted from animal bones and such so if it has no flavor the only smell it has is quite gamey and unpleasant, but it takes to any kind of flavor and scent like a sponge so it has none of that odor when its done cooking, if it is still too much there are alternatives like one made from seaweed thats a little less firm but has no weird raw meat smell to it (it does smell of sea salt tho so meh)

I've made a similar jello before for a party as a gag. I can recognize the abomination that is an aspic salad a mile away. The texture of tomato gelatin puree is awful. Edit: instead of spaghetti-o's I used a can of tuna fish, onion, celery, and strained out the solids after cooking them down with cheese cloth. It was the served by being scooped onto a cracker with mayonnaise on it. Flavor was just ok, not good but not bad. However like I said, the texture was quite bad.
I just want to say chef boyardees version of spaghettio's are disgusting compared to the campbells name brand shoot even store brand ones taste better. but make sure to get the meatball spaghetti O's the sauce is different the regular ones has cheese tomato sauce not as good some people don't like that but the meatball spaghetti o's have a tomato only sauce this wouldn't matter in the recipe much just if you ever end up trying them on their own go for the meatball ones or the franks. Now, what you CAN do is imagine the taste in your mouth bc you are dunking your balls in the substance, meaning you’ll naturally be thinking about the taste.
