See, that's the thing. I don't believe releasing a male lipstick line or wearing clothing designed for women is gender fluidity. I may be completely wrong about what I'm about to say because I'm an ignorant fuck, so be free to correct me but it frustrates me that we're trying so hard to be open about gender and to blur the line that divides a male and a female that we're actually accentuating those lines and being less open-minded. If I was a guy and wore lipstick (for example) should I consider myself gender fluid?? No. You can if you believe you are. But doing female things when you are a male does not make you not be a guy. I believe gender should only be used to identify our biological characteristics and then do whatever the fuck we want with our exterior and personality without having to lable ourselves with EVERYTHING we do and like.

as a genderfluid person and a halsey fan: androgynous and genderfluid are not the same. genderfluid is a gender identity which means sometimes you're a boy, sometimes you're a girl, sometimes you're neither or both
but what is a boy. what is a girl. you are who you are. youre not a boy sometimes and a girl other times, you're you all the time. I'm really bad at making points but what I'm trying to say is, there are no boundaries to what a boy or girl can do, a guy can wear a dress and makeup if he wants amd he is still a boy and a girl can wear men's clothes and act masculine if she wants and she is still a girl. it doesn't mean we need new labels for people who feel masculine one day and feminine another day, that's just who you are, you are still the sex you were born as. unless you are trans gender which is obviously different. I've probably made this sound very confusing and stupid and i may be wrong, but just because you feel girly, that doesn't make you a girl and just because you feel masculine, that doesn't mean you are a man

yu xuan siao No, she's not. A girl wearing feminine makeup and clothing and acting in a feminine way is not androgyny. I'm not saying it's bad that she's not androgynous, but don't say that you are if you clearly are not. You can tell obviously that she's a woman, therefore she's not androgynous.
androgynous: having the physical characteristics of both sexes
she can be androgynous AND look like a woman because she IS a woman. if a woman looks like a man, that is cross-dressing. women who wear "traditionally male" clothing, for example checkered flannels, that is androgyny. vice versa for men.
