    I think the Kress brand was founded in Germany but now is owned by Positec out of China. Same people that make Worx and CAT tools. They seem to going after high end with Kress brand. Good for competition. That Kress mower is the same as Worx WG761 or CAT DG671.9.

    • @QuietLawn
      @QuietLawn  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that is correct. The Cat is the same but I'm not sure about the Worx. Similar and probably the same deck, but not the same mower.

      The Positec Tool Corporation, named by Founder and CEO Don Gao from ‘positive technology’, manufactures power tools and gardening equipment under the brand names Rockwell and WORX. Headquartered in Suzhou, China, Positec also has a North American division in Charlotte, North Carolina. . A few years ago we acquired a German brand called Kress, but our major plans are for WORX. We achieved this branding position through quality - we relentlessly trade in quality, quality, quality.”

      @@QuietLawndo you happen to know if the Kress 21” mower blades fit the CAT 21” mower? CAT doesn’t appear to offer any blade choices.
      I like the design features and appearance of these Kress mowers. I browsed through the Kress web site and they list a dealer in my home town (Littleton, MA). AND, I like the idea of purchasing them from a local dealer rather than a big box store or Tractor Supply (CAT mowers). People often balk at local dealer prices, but I like their knowledge and expertise of the products they sell and the access to their service department and parts catalog.
      Great review, BTW. 👍

      @@QuietLawn thank you for your response. Yes, I’m talking about the prosumer mower. I stopped by my local dealer and looked at the Kress mower yesterday. I was impressed with what I saw. I’m willing to pay a little more for a sturdier machine. AND, the dealer was very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks again.

    Hi Guys, this is a stunning video on how a video should be executed. I have been researching cordless mowers here in the UK for several months, as i want to change from petrol to cordless. I only recently discovered Kress cordless mowers.
    I'm extremely impressed with your video on Kress. Given that you are a professional gardening company, I'm happy you considered Kress to be a much better cordless mower than the EGO Greenworks brands.
    It's great that you can work with kress , to overcome any problems.
    You have certainly given me something to think about.
    As of today Guys would you still recommend Kress Brand ?
    Keep up the excellent work.
    Kind regards Danny from the uk. 🇬🇧 ❤ 🇺🇲 👍

    Any idea on dealer support? My biggest gripe is always not having a local place for repair/replacement when the equipment or batteries give issues.

    • @QuietLawn
      @QuietLawn  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they are establishing a dealer network now. I personally don't like dealer networks as you have to go through them for everything and they can be very slow. I like Ego's model much better where you can deal with them directly when you have issues and they immediately send a part or replacement tool.

    jeeezus that blower, the equipment looks pretty good from what I can see, solid shaft commercial trimmer would be nice, folding mechanism for shipping tends to throw things out of balance.

    I know some of your gripes with electric was no push mower larger than 21”, no small stand ons, and poor battery warranty.
    Is this company addressing any of those issues?

    • @QuietLawn
      @QuietLawn  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, the battery warranty issue and reducing the number of batteries needed while greatly increasing the life expectancy. As far as the other things, they are working on some other cool things you might not expect, but that will be a while.

      GW, toro, ryobi and scag are all coming out with 30” push mowers next year. The GW is the only one that I have seen on a website with the price and it is pricey but we imo that’s a good sign as they are finally putting out mowers built for commercial use. If it was cheap Like the last ones I would have my doubts.

    Identical to CAT. Kress seems better for the Commercial line. Not sure why CAT branded there same products as CAT.

      partially correct but there are some slight differences with the blower sizes I think. Commercial line is completely different and not available under the CAT name

    You really cant take the time to simply weigh the strimmer with a battery attached. Even on the kress site they dont publish the weights with batteries.
