Yoshi-P & CBU3 Working on New Projects, FF17 & FF9 Remake Candidates?

- With the news from Yoshi P that he and CBU3 are working on two unannounced projects we take a look at what those projects may or may not be.

Ff8 would be one of the ones I would look much more forward to being remade potentially
I could totally see CS3 taking up Tactics since it definitely is very similar to 16 in it's gritty, medieval feels and just traditional fantasy setting that they are used to; I said something similar in my recent video as well. However, my final predictions would be FFIX Remake that apparently went back in-house at Square Enix, and an entirely new IP. Yoshi-P did say that the reason there were so many FFIX Remake references in Dawntrail was a secret he couldn't say at the time, and the timing seems too perfect lol. I'm very interested to hear more soon!

The former FF9 producers are under CS1 so kinda doubt it’s that one
I want them to work on a Final Fantasy 11 remake. It is the best combat in a final fantasy game and needs made into modern systems.
Looking back at it in my memory, I do remember soloing Quadavs in Palboroughs mines... So much fun. I could do without the need to party and grind with people.... I haven't played since they introduced npcs 2 and 3...

Yoshi P was the producer of FF16 although many people mistake it. Hiroshi Takai was the director (he did a fantastic job) so it’s not surprising Yoshi P would like to take a stab at being a director at one point :)
IF and I mean big IF FF9 is legit being remade and is in the development stage at this current moment. It may potentially have the trials of mana treatment graphic wise. Square doesn’t want to go through the madness like what they’re doing with the FF7 remake trilogy ever again.
The only way I could see a FF VI remake is like you said, they had multiple studios working on it and they released it in a number of episodes, and I'm thinking 4 to as many as 6 to keep the wait time down. I would LOVE a FF VI remake, that is my second favorite in the series.
They could also remake it in the style of Star Ocean 2 Remake. It wouldn't be as flashy as VII Remake it also wouldn't be as resource intensive.
I have no doubt that Final Fantasy XVII is being worked on but it's probably still early in the planning stages. I think they're going to focus on getting Remake Part 3 out as quickly as possible so that is probably their highest priority as far as Final Fantasy is concerned. I wouldn't expect any news about XVII until the Remake Trilogy is done.
Outside of that, we know Kingdom Hearts IV is in development so that's probably also going to become a priority.
It's also highly possible that one of Yoshi P's "unannounced" projects is just the next expansion after Dawntrail. They seem to treat each expansion as its own title.

FF16 started that in 2015, and by 2017 it went full scale development.
I still say the Final Fantasy games that need a remake or at least a remaster the most are the Final Fantasy XIII games.
They would need to combine them into a bundle.

I want new Final Fantasy games, but I also want a 1:1 remake of VI. Something like the Star Ocean 2 remake, not like VII.
But if they could only do one, I'd prefer a new, original Final Fantasy project.
Next FF MMO will be 17 so that's what Yoshi P is doing next
9 isn't happening the Nvidia leak was fake the cartoon is fake there is only a 6 remake coming after 7 trilogy and it will be AMAZING
any source for those being fake? or just making assumptions because they haven't been revealed yet?
@@cowan1234 these fake NVIDIA rumors have been followed for over 3 years after what square went through with FF15 and outsourcing FF7R why would they do any of that stuff again when they vowed not to? And who spends money on a cartoon and shelves it?

@eddy5097 weirdly hostile but ok. I asked if you had a source, because to my knowledge almost everything else from the nvidia leaks has been true, so theres no reason to doubt FF9.
