Capo is a must need accessory for beginners if you want to play complicated bar chords( eg: c# chord, just put capo on 1st fret and play normal c chord and you are good to go)

For scales like C#, taking the trouble of barre chords and compromising with sound is a really bad idea, fpr 1st fret uses... capo is important..I don't use capo except 1st fret
