Last chance to sow autumn carrots this month! How are your Carrot's doing this year?.. My container carrots all germinated but it's been very patchy in the direct sow bed, however that was was a week later. 🙏🙏
Sat in my poly tunnel, in July, yellow weather warning for rain, pouring down outside, eating my first strawberries with cream, thinking I must plant some more carrots, just maybe not outside this evening. 🥕🥕👍. Congratulations on going over the 2000 subscribers, well deserved. 🎉
Like you I try a few different ways to grow them. Direct in raised box, direct in pots and seed tapes in the ground. Like most veg carrots 🥕 are way better fresh. I grew Nantes, Bolero and a small round Parisienne and Shawn sent me some Top weight 🥕🥕. Hope they all do well Glen have a super week, Ali 🥵🌞🫠🇨🇦
"Top weight".... I just had to google those as I thought I was missing out 🤣 here's what came back: (Australia's most popular variety, loved for the flavour of its long tapering roots. Extremely productive, reliable and resistant to bolting, perfect for changeable weather conditions. Now available for the UK gardener to enjoy) I like the part about changeable weather 🤣🤣☔☔☀☀ Have a great week Ali
