- Golden Globe winner Rosamund Pike, who won for her role in the Netflix film "I Care A Lot," discusses the parallels between her character in "Gone Girl."
Pike revealed that most audiences probably find them both pretty appalling and compelling at the same time, compelling "about the ingenuity of their plan." The actresses continued that those personality traits were, "certainly what drew me."

To those complaining about her "I Care A Lot" character being unlikeable: NO SHIT SHERLOCK that's the POINT.
Not to mention not even once you get a back story that would make you sympathise with her ! She is THAT Bitch and she knows it and doesn’t ask anybody to like her

No she doesn't! Rosamund is so much prettier! She has a perfect face. Angular facial structure, small straight nose, rare shaped blue eyes, quaint mouth. Very unique and neat face. Jenna has an unshapely broad nose and her facial structure isn't as well defined as Rosamund's. Sorry don't mean to sound disrespectful it's just that I'm an aspiring portrait artist practiced for 8 years experimented with loads of styles. and faces are very fascinating to me so I've trained myself to notice every single thing about someone's face

in Amys case her starting point was justifiable to an extent. Also Amy hated herself so much so she went from killing herself to chaining herself to a man that will never love her. Marla is pure evil that loves nobody but herself. She has a very developed survival instinct. Amy and Marla are clearly different, they're just played by the same actress with a similar haircut

I like your point of view but I disagree. I don't think Amy is capable of love. Not just for herself but for everyone. The reason why she 'chained' herself to Nick was because he checked all her boxes of the perfect man. Not because she loved him. He was handsome charming basically what Amy liked. She didn't chain herself to nick she chained nick to her. Someone capable of love won't pretend to be someone she's not and I doubt someone capable of any real feelings can plan such things that she did. Her crime was just so meticulous. Amy was a psychopath through and through. Marla just was greedy and selfish to the highest degree as she was capable of loving Fran healthily
