For making goond ped can i use water instead of milk

Dear we can't use water instead of milk to make goond ped, we use milk because when we combine goond and milk, the milk curdles and forms to paneer. Only this process gives proper taste to ped. Moreover, making ped from water will make it stale. So I don't recommend using water.
