Thank you so much for sharing you have so much knowledge and it's so relaxing watching you work with your bees, with no protection gear 😊 Don't think I'm that brave yet but one day I definitely would like a bee farm ☮️❤️💡

As far as queens go I agree, the darker the berry the sweeter the juice. Carniolans are the best.

I was curious I hear you say feed them. Every summer my hummingbird feeders get swarmed with bees 🐝 why is that?

Because bees are very opportunistic and bees and hummingbirds are after the same food source. Hummingbirds are your natural pollinators in the us and bees are brought in by humans as livestock. But being hard workers they are lazy too, if someone offers them a nice sugar source without them having to really work for it they will surely come eating from your feeder. It is a problem for the beekeeper and not for you in my opinion, his honey will have regular sugar in it thus making it not 100% honey anymore. Keep feeding the hummingbirds

@@aBeekeepersLife Oh gosh I didn't know! So putting out a plate of sugar water is not really helpful to the bees or humans. So I shouldn't feed them sugar water?

@@hillbillyorchids i think the hummingbirds could use the help you give them. I would say that is the priority. But planting the right flowers to support hummingbirds could help them too.
Maybe you can find a feeder the hummingbirds can utalise but the bees not? I really don't know if there are that kind of feeders though, but my guess there are feeders the beek of the birds can enter and the bees can't. But the amount of sugarwater the bees collect at your place isn't that much to really 'spoil' the honey, they will always collect from multiple sources so as long as there are enough blooms they can profit from it will be fine i think

@@aBeekeepersLife Well I'm hoping to plant some flowering plants and shrubs to help both. I like Butterflies too! But I'm not kidding the bees swarm in a frenzy and mass almost as big as what I saw you remove from that tree in one of your videos! Once the sugar water was gone they left behind dead Honey bees black bees and yellow jackets! It's crazy!

It could very well be there is a dip in flowers between spring and summer, that could cause it to be that massive.
Try to plant native species specific for butterflies, bumblebees and hummingbird species that are in your area. That would really help them out a lot. Many butterflies and hummingbirds search for specific plants, internet is your friend in this(for a change😉)
If the bees feed on your feeder that massively i guess the others won't get a chance to feed, so maybe search for a specific hummingbird feeder is a good option too
